No girls, I'm not going to see our Nico!

the worst is that sometimes I have to wait like 3 or 5 hours to get the other plane to Acapulco :o and the change of weathers is ridiculous, I'm leaving here with no sweather, I arrived to Mexico city and I have to put on my sweather and then when I arrived to Acapulco is taking off the sweather again :cuckoo:

I hate waiting a long time when I have to change planes. :(

And  about the sweater. I have that problem going to Miami in the winter. Wear a heavy winter coat to the airport, look like in idiot in Miami carrying a winter coat in 90 degree weather, and then do the reversal going home.

That's what everyone says who lived in California their entire lives.

Although both my niece and nephew live in California, and they moved there for college and stayed. And they tease me about it too. They've gotten used to it pretty quickly. I guess if I were there a lot, I wouldn't think about it either after awhile. And I would love to live there too ... I love Malibu. But I would never be able to afford Malibu.

VAMOOOS NICOOO!!!!

NicoFan
02-09-2008, 06:14 PM
I'm tired of it too. Crappy draws, and he loses in the first round week after week even when he has a good draw. After awhile, it just isn't fun anymore.

I was hoping for a halfway decent draw here and Buenos Aires because he has no points to defend...unless of course, it's that 5th best shit all over again, but since he didn't win at all last year, I don't think he has more than 2 good tournaments throughout all of 2007 so I doubt he has even those points to defend. But anyway, I thought he could pick up some points here in Brasil and Buenos Aires. But at least in Brasil ... not. :bigcry:

The boy needs to think about getting another profession because this one ain't working out.

actually it doesn't give a damn if we trust in him or not, we trust in him, but in order to get some wins the one that has to trust in himself is Nico, not us. We're here supporting him no matter what and if he could believe in himself at least like the 10% of what we believe on him, he'd be beating everybody. So this is going to be again a matter of if he trusts and believes in himself, he is not in Viña where the pressure is a living nightmare so I still believe and hope he can do something here, PLEASE!!! :p

I'm serious here, he needs to just stop playing for six months and figure out if he wants to be a tennis player.

Because this isn't working.

And no, I'm not being mean.

There are times in life when you have to step away, evaluate, and then make a decision.

If he does that and wants to still play tennis, then fine. Go get a good coach and guru and get it done. Sacrifice, stop partying, stop screwing around, and go for it.

If he's not willing to sacrifice, stop partying, stop screwing around, he needs to find a new career during those six months.

IA, As much as I love Nico and seeing him play, I would rather not see him play than see him play like this. He does need to examine where he stands with his tennis and completely change his staff and his mentality for the better before he can play like the top player we know he can be.

Nicolas Massu :help:

He cannot win against higher-ranked players. Even on his best surface clay. He should play challenger after Acapulco.

That's how I feel. It must be painful for him too, and that makes me feel bad. How he must feel losing every match he goes into. Eventually that will make a person crazy.

I remember when Andre was playing bad - of course, he was different, he didn't care anymore, was out of shape.

But he took the time off, got help, got another coach, got his guru, and then sacrificed day and night. And came back and won.

Nico's no Andre. But if he's willing to change - key word is willing because that's something he refuses generally to do - and to sacrifice - another key word, he can comeback into the top 50 maybe even top 40 or 30.

But he has to decide to do it. No one can do it for him. Go off as they say into the mountains, get his head together, and come back determined.

To me that's the only way he's ever going to win again consistently.

For what it's worth. ;)

If he doesn't stop for awhile, he should go on teh challenger circuit for a couple of months. Skip Las Vegas (kills me to say it ), skip IW, skip Miami. Just play challengers. He won't get into the Masters Series events in Europe so he should just continue playing challengers for a few weeks. Raise that ranking and come back a couple weeks before RG into regular tournaments and then play RG.

Skip Wimbly, and try the regular tournaments again in the summer.

Interview with Nico in cooperativa.:

Nicolas Massú and his prolonged bad moment: "I cannot understand it"

The Olympic champion indicated after falling in the first round of the Brasil Open that he continues seeking explanations for the pothole that he suffers in his tennis.

Nicolas Massú (94º of the ATP) continues without finding the compass that carried him to be in the top ten and that installed him in the Olympic glory, situation that has been problematic to the viñamarino, who not yet finds explanations for his bad moment.

"The truth is that I talked with my coach (Leonardo Zuleta) and I cannot understand. I go 3-2, dodge the kick-off, playing very well and later I do seven double fault, and I lose the set 6-3", explained the Chilean in conversation with the correspondent from Cooperativa.

Massú met with his credits, but can't find answers. "I yielded for nothing. Always I have said what I feel and today I did not play, therefore I am uncomfortable, and I don't find reasons for the performance. The truth is that I was not. I tried to concentrate, but did not leave the things", said after the match before Nicolas Almagro.

"I am trying to understand it, because I play well, but ?? very little or I make mistakes that I'm not accustomed to make", added the viñamarino embittered by a loss that puts in check his continuance among the 100 better players of the world. (Cooperative.cl)
