A bit desappointed by the entry list. I thought i would see Recouderc and de Voest. Ascione may pull out as he is 2nd on Zagreb Alt list.
Golubev, Luzzi or Bohli for the title. Haehnel should get a WC as he is last year finalist. I'm glad to see Dlouhy and Chardy there.

Do you have a link about it (even in Italian ).... ?

Sidorenko must be pissed off. He was promised a WC for this year... i was even sure they made a contract that he should come until he is top 100.. Well maybe he is injured and his name won't appear in the qualies draw... But after all i prefer Haehnel, Ouanna and Eysseric. :)

I think there are 4 WCs in challengers.
Ups

Well, i think Mannarino will get it if he loses today. If he wins he will be SE and it could go to Sido. People enjoyed seing "15 yrs old" Mannarino last year. yes i really heard some "specialists" telling he was only 15 or 16.

Well... Haehnel might not need his WC... Peya should use his SE for Wolsburg, Kim is already the main draw, Istomin too. So the WC will go to Jerome only if Beck + Mannarino win and if there are no withdrawal....

I found the 3 names on the FFT info-press.
And you're right A.Mannarino looks like a 15 years-old boy!
I saw him twice at Roland Garros qualifs in 2006 and 2007, puberty doesn't seem to reach him , each time people wonder how can he be? He looks younger than a junior:)

I saw just the last games of his first match against Mergea. :)
He has a good serve and a very good forehand. He is not shy to go to the net. It's surprising he is only 1043 th. His real level is more around 300/400 but it's always difficult to earn the first ATP points...

Here he is:

Not really what happens to Clément Reix, I think he never think about taking ATP points before he did it outstandingly at Toulon in 2006. He was part of these French players who never really try to improve by the ATP way. He doesn't even defend his French ranking. I don't know his situation, but he's probably got a good job. So, in 2006, he probably was with another player when he receives WC in Q and finally qualifies ! Then Toulon came where he probably went to coach a guy, or on the advice of someone, and finally he beat everybody to reach the semi-finalss:confused:. Then, I think he took it more seriously seeing how good he really was. He went to Morocco in June 2007, and took points after points in Futures. So, I think he took very very seriously beginning 2008 going in Germany and Great Britain where he beat Nicolas Tourte in Qs to finally reach QF !!! And now he doesn't really know until where he can beat someone, so he played this Challenger Qs ! And unexpectedly won again against much higher ranked players (Mergea).

Nathaliia

No, it's because I wrote them for a pass for Renaud, and they didn't answer my e-mail, because it probably got lost somewhere, like e-mails sometimes do (which is weird anyway as I was sending from hotmail to hotmail). That doubles player was actually a tournament's director :o and he said he wanted to read what Renaud wrote, so Renaud quickly texted me to remove the remark about director's son getting a WC .

What is wrong? Journalism isn't about the media identity card and neccessity of work for a print magazine or daily news anymore, and it's been like that for quite a long time.

That site isn't kept in all seriousness, but has daily updates, many reports and so on, many news have over 60 reads (not when Gicquel plays though :tape: ). Why Inside Tennis can have press passes and I can't? Because they are serious and I am not? Because I am an active poster on MTF? People want to have a laugh too :o.

In Besançon, I told them I was supposed to get a media/press pass for tennis alternative. The woman goes through the press passes, doesn't find mine but gave me one anyway. And three days out of eight, they let me in without even checking it. :haha:

Nice report, Renaud. :yeah: Brad had the Metallica hat when I saw him too.
And yeah, Vemic is quite a character. It was more fun to watch him practice than to watch actual matches. :p
It's a pity I couldn't enjoy his Roland Garros match against Janko (his only Grand Slam main draw match ever!) more last year. We had just spent six hours waiting in the rain and our clothes were wet and we were cold. :sobbing:

Yeah,he's a great, funny guy!
And I hope he keeps climbing the rankings. Maybe it's not realistic to expect he could reach top 110 to be in the main draws of GSs ( although I wish), but I hope he'll manage to qualify again this year!
