I think some people will be disappointed by Ancic' performance here :o Or at least, it won't be nearly as easy as they make it believe.

Challengers are never as easy to win to ATP players as expected. Mario is worth much more than his actual position, but at least couple of players from this list are capable to beat him. It takes five matches to win in a row to get the title, and if he is not fully recovered and confident than this tournament won't be piece of cake for him.

Ancic hasn't played anything for about a bajillion years :scared: it definitely won't be a cakewalk for him, but he can try.

Ok, thanks. I didn't notice that Rotterdam is a ISG. However, Ancic can't have SE because he is playing an IS (and that is not a qualified event for SE in ISG), and not because there is no SE for ISG. In fact, ISG should have 1 SE place available in the draw.

Mate, the rules are that if somebody is on the list for a challenger, there is no way he gets any SE, even if he won the grand slam. These rules protect the challenger organizers.

He can withdraw though from here because of fatigue. This is why Baghdatis didn't come to Aachen 2005 after Basel final and I missed the chance of making an interview I prepared for long :sad:.
