Hi.Tommy and Nicholas to be a doubles combination at the olympics. Is this just a rumour or a possibility.Have these two be a team before as I thought they didnt get along let alone socialise together off court. If anyone knows the facts or likes these guys reply with your views.A pity Tommys shoulder wasnt quite right for the Oz Open as I really like watching him play.Linda

I don't know, first time I hearing this

but I think it would not work good

in early years they did not get along so much good, it is a bit better since a few years, but Kiefer is still too much isolated and don't have a good relationship, that they spend time together on tournaments, I guess that they not much call each other on phone or that they talk with together much in players lounge or play table tennis, XBox, Wii or table soccer like other players when waiting for a match

Kiefer is a single player, not only on the field, but also off the field. His isolation in Davis Cup showing that, I think.

from the play, I think they could be good together, but what about the spirit and the soft factors that are important to double team??

I meaning they would need to take their both ego and attitude to the other aside

it's not a rumor but it is not fact, too. Kiwi said he would like to play doubles with Tommy and they already talked about it but it is still just an idea. Just two people talking about a possibility. Still I think it would be a nice..

Now that is interesting since it wasn't so long ago that people were talking about how the two of them didn't get along. May be since Tommy dropped the coach that some people said he stole from Kiwi they are getting along better now  BTW I don't know now who is coaching either one of them :o

Kiwi is coached by his friend Sascha Nensel. I don't think Tommy has a chance to "steal" him from Kiwi. Thomas Hogstedt stopped working with Tommy last Autum. Word on the street said he got a very good offer from Chinese Tennis Federation. Tommy has no new coach yet.
About Kiwi and Tommy getting along better now... well.. they are two very different personalities. I don't think they will ever become best friends but Olympia is a dream for both of them and Kiwi is right when he says that they have the best chance if they play together. They are adults and should be professional enough to work together... But first both of them have to be fit for this.

Does anybody know exactly any other reasons why Tommy and Kiwi don't get along so well? Did they have an argument or something?

Alexiana great to see a post from you :D Actually Tommy and Kiwi have a lot in common when it comes to tennis sadly--neither one seems to be able to stay healthy

and they are nearly never healthy at the same time. So I doubt both of them will be fit for Olympia:confused:

Sad, but true  Anyway I think a doubles team needs good chemistry between the players. And I don't think Tommy and Kiwi have that chemistry
