Wish he didn't have to meet Ivo so early- but I would love to see Misha be the one to get out of this section- even though I like Murray and Gasquet as well.

Watched most of the match and it sure was a tough battle. Seppi offered high speed and some solid tennis but then experience took charge ;)

Great job for pulling this one through Teddy :yeah:

Nice result to wake up to - well done Misha :)

Sorry about the all-Russian thing Annie  Just think at least you will have someone to cheer for in the next round whoever wins or loses :) That is how I try to look at it when two of my favourites play each other.

Let's look at it this way, hun.... Better like this, then one of them were out of the draw already ;)

At least one of the 2 will make it into the quarters!

Am going to watch tomorrow morning, but haven't decided who to cheer for though :awww: .... very tough descicion

(according to the AO website there's a resemblance between him and Mohammed Ali, so beware of the uppercut ;) )

I didn't see the match because I was at work  I was trying to follow the livescores as much as possible, but it is hard to get the real "feel" of a match from that. I understand that Tsonga was "on fire" though, so maybe it was just one of those days

According to the BBC website which updates match reports during the game, they said Misha had to have some strapping adjusted on his ankle, but I don't know if that was just precautionary or something more serious. I hope he will be OK.

Misha  Tsonga was just too good in this match. Misha needs to work on developing a strong first serve...he was forced to fight in nearly service game. Also, he's gotta work on his overheads :help:
But anyways, this was a very good tournament for him, got him back into the top 10. So keep working hard, Misha, and stay injury free :D

Tsonga has just been on fire at the AO :fiery: I don't know why because he sure didn't use to play like this  May be new coaching
