good first five names on the list :yeah: both last years finalists, Murray and Karlovic, decided to go for Rotterdam this year

Why players like Hartfield and Daniel are coming here and not going to Buenos Aires? You'd think clay would suit them better than a really quick indoor court

I suppose they commited to both and only got into San Jose

Anyway, Daniel knows how to play in a hard court (lost to Federer in Bangkok 2005, 7-6(3) 6-4)

Maybe they don't want to travel around Latin America? When is the American Clay Challenger's season? Maybe any relation with them?

There may not be any news about the wildcards until very close to the draw. Isner will get in off the alternate list, so they could be looking at 3 wildcards. I would not be surprised to see Delic get one of them, maybe Mike McClune too? Maybe just the Americans that didn't get in off the alternate list and are already in town for qualies. Perhaps Ginepri even though he has avoided this event in the past.

And a real bummer, looks like TTC is not showing the QFs this year - past two years they showed all 4 QFs and some doubles. :(

del potro also out: back
http://www.examiner.com/a-1216663~Safin_withdraws_from_San_Jose__Hass_to_fac e_Sampras.html

So Kendrick and Isner are in, leaving all 3 WCs unused. Isner will be out b/c of his foot injury I imagine anyway....
