Good luck with LOTR. I thought the first one was OK. I slept through over an hour of the second one in the cinema. The movies are soooooo long my ass was killing me sitting in those uncomfortable chairs. And if it wasn't for my gf, I would have walked out. I think if you're going to watch LOTR, the only way is the DVDs so you can pause and come back to them later. I'll never try watching a movie that long again in the cinema. It's too much for one sitting. :)

Wall papers? I see...I know what it is. I'm into DIY..But I'll explain this later to you because I have to leave now. I have a meeting at school. Board of governors. Boring, rather useless but can't escape it. See you later!

I wasn't sure where I put the answer.

They are not Lapps, they are Same and lapp is an insulting term to them which means barbarian.

The Same well they speak the language of the country they live in and the minority speak Same. The majority live in Norway, but there are populations in Sweden, Finland and Russia.

Hey Tiff, I am totally confused by this...you had your interview..but you have to wait until May...why? have you qualified as a teacher or not? or do you have more work to do....it certainly is different to what I had to go through...here you get a degree.......in your chosen field......then your teaching degree (again in your chosen sunject....the course includes going to Uni and having a placement in two different schools)...you are observed and have a bunch of essays to write and you pass or fail. Obviously, you have portfolios to create etc...but I'm glad its that way here and not like yours...I would be bored waiting...

No....I have to wait until May to see if I get into the program....if I do, then I can choose my education class. The teacher education program is very selective here, so I can understand why their recommendation would have to pass through a committee and a decision is reached. Since the education system has come under attack in our state in particular, they want to keep the integrity of the program.

Oh I thought you were on the course already...obviously its the same here...not just anyone can become a teacher...I have a First Class Honours Degree...but the selection process is still tough....there are many different hoops we have to jump through to get on the course too...and then the Teaching Degree course is a very tough year...very demanding...its like having a full time teaching job, with all the planning, marking and preparation and the rigours of a University course....so its not easy...but at the end its worth it....and those who don't make it fall by the wayside in that year....

I can take courses in my content area but not in the education area. The only reason I could was because the first two are foundational courses, and the other I got an advisor override for because of my grades.

Hi Sophia! :wavey: I'm glad to read that you've been able to enjoy some true food. Finally! I fancy how great it must have been, no matter what you had in your plate... ;)

Well, I'm avoiding the news since yesterday evening, because, of course, that's sad, but I'm fed up with announcements immediately followed by denials...I wish so strong they let that poor man go away in peace! I've never understood why people collect so many tapes/dvds of tennis matches. Does anybody actually have the time to sit and watch these matches months/years later? Seems pointless to me.
I'm not what you can call a collector...but there are players that I'll never get enough of watching...So I have them on tape. And given that I've been a tennis fan for more than 15 years now, you can imagine!
And yes, I enjoy watching matches, even years later...some ppl do so for movies, imagine it's the same for matches. :)

Well, I've never taped a tennis match, but now I ind of wish I could see some interesting ones. For example, I taped by accident the last 5 games of the Nalbandian vs Agassi match, and now I wish I could have it all. I'm sure they'll repeat it again, cause they usually do it when there's nothing else to show :)

A man that likes shopping...nice..

I still find it hard shopping with women though. Nothing worse than standing in a shop with a ponderous chick who is taking an hour to decide whether just one item of clothing makes her "look fat". It's pure torture.

I can cover a huge shopping mall in about 30 minutes maxing my credit card out. Find me a woman who can do that, and I'll marry her tomorrow.

Edit: as long as she is using her own credit card.

Maybe I should introduce you to the joys of shopping in London (Bond Street) or Madrid....we could be shopping buddies....and I promise to pay for all my own purchases ;)

That seems relatively normal. Storing matches you actually enjoyed with people you love to watch.

I'm talking about the freaks that have matches like Roger Federer's first round 6-1, 6-0 win over Paul Neverwonamaindrawmatchinmylife. They must need at least three huge rooms just to store their video collection. And you know, they're never going back to watch those crappy matches again.
