Yeah, the Bible thing was not the best, and even worse when he started talking about the cross I was wearing, asking me if I knew that was meant to scare the demons. Well, it didn't scare him, so I guess it's not working well...

Take it as a compliment Jazz. When I was your age (a long, long time ago) I didn't like it either when people thought I was younger than I was. But now I am happy when they think I am yonger! Luckily it happens often. It seems that that expensive anti-wrinkle creams really works!

Reminds me when I was on observation periods, for the job I'm doing now. Teachers used to send me to classes...so often that once I went with one of them. And I've stayed in his class up to when he has noticed he had a student, sitting in his class, which wasn't on the list. What a funny situation!

And...I'm finished with my field observations. That was fun. I got to observe a veteran teacher, a first-year teacher, a student teacher, and a teacher who invited a guest speaker in to talk to his student about driver licensing. Remember...in the US, the driving age is 16.

Nope a lot of our schools in the Netherlands just use the blackbord. But well where I had to teach there wasn't even a blackbord or any acces to use powerpoint. SO well then you just don't use it. Must say I didn't miss it anyway. I always have a lessonplan but with Citzenship it always changes a little bit and then the slide show doesn't work anyway. "Blackboard" is an online program instructors use to deliver their lesson plans. I would love to learn how to use it, although I may not use it any time when I graduate the program. Who knows, right? Anyhow, my lesson plan is already done for the six hours I plan to teach; just need to tweak a few things and get my assignments ready to pass out on the first day. And....I've bought something to keep stuff in. I'm already in the "teacher mode".

A college classroom? No, not a good idea. Professors are not in a permanent location with respect to classrooms, so leaving stuff behind is not a good idea. I can do that, however, in a high school classrooms and not worry about it.

This morning I was doing some zapping and found an interview with Vilas in a cable channel, it was a month old, but It was great! He told a lot of anecdotes of Tiriac, Noah, Nastase, Borg, and some other more. I ended up watching it with my parents and laughing a lot!
He said that even though, most of them were big friends, it was very competitive, and if he was ordering a coke in a restaurant with Nastase or somebody else, and he went to the bathroom, then he would order another coke cause he was afraid he would put something in it. Every player took their rackets with themselves, afraid of someone cutting the cords. And went on like that.
He even mention a time when he was in a restaurant, having dinner with Nastase, and guy comes up and says:
guy: Mr Nastase, is that you?
Nastase: yes
guy: can I ask you a question?
Nastase: of course
guy: do you take viagra?
Nastase: no, I take something else
guy: something like viagra?
Nastase: no, something to make it flabber
--------------
And things like that, it was all very funny, and the interview or chat was almost 2 hours long.

Hi Choupi! :wavey: How are you today sweetie?

Choupi
03-21-2005, 11:56 AM
Not as bad as it's been. The sun helps. Of course, as well as all of those who contact me to send their support. If things go as usual, it should be another bad mood week. With culminant point on Friday. Then, it should get better.
And what about you?

*Elsie*
03-21-2005, 12:03 PM
I am fine and hope it'll stay like this as I am surrounded by sneezing colleagues. But then again, a cold is nothing compared to what you are going through. All the best for this week. Hang in there Choupi.

Choupi
03-21-2005, 12:08 PM
Thanks choupinette. I'll do it fine. I have to...

The sneezing colleagues, is it really the cold or some allergic reactions? I mean here, with the sun and the temps we have, there are a lot of allergic stuff going on. Thanksfully, I don't know what it means! But I have friends who are having such tough times every spring. Anyway, I hope you'll go through. :)

:D I sure do.

Choupi

Yes Tiff, I'm sure it would help you much. But remember that man with blue shirt needs to be fit for his next tournament. So don't take any contamination risk please! ;)

NO, I don't think I have a cold, just some allergies. This is the worst time of the year for it, changing seasons and all of that...We're about to start autumn here.

Yes. Autumn and spring are very annoying seasons for ppl suffering allergies. I can't say I know what it is because I have never suffered any allergy. But I know how upsetting and even handicaping it can be sometimes. Are there any treatment you can get to help you lower your sensibility?

sigmagirl91
03-21-2005, 01:25 PM
For me, allergies is not the prob. I don't have any that I'm aware of, so I guess it's the common cold. I'm dealing with it anyhow. It'll be over soon.

I was always bought up to believe that fresh air was good for colds, and being shut in with no air circulation made them worse - so open your roof Tiff!!
