Today's my MTF anniversary (what a dubious achievement, right?), and I have made it to 6000 posts.

Congratulations :) And also a BIG congratulations to Gaston and Agustin Calleri who both won last night! I just woke up and found out the good news -I'm especially thrilled for Agustin who beat Max Mirnyi in 5 sets - that was a tough one. Congrats to both and I hope David joins therm in the 2nd round tonight :bounce:

good to hear Gaudio and Calleri won. Just saw Moya his match, he lossed. Not that he was really bad I think but Garcia-Lopez played really well. Then we had Sjeng, poor Sjeng after a bad year again a bad start shoulder injury. So the first set was ok, but then it went really fast down

well yes there is some similarity of course there are different things.Maybe the grammer is a little bit easier in German then in Dutch.
but well would be fun if you tried dutch and well then you also have Donkey to talk too.

you'd better not watch that :p , 3 errors from Ferrer made 3 bps for him, and then he wasted them easily. both of them are depressed. And then he played a stunning forehand winner to win 4th bp, but still wasted. it did torture my tolerance anyway  but finally he broke Ferrer successfully :D

Gaston played a great match, though i only watched pieces of this match, think those who doubt his ability on the hard court should stop then. And i already read the thread in GM: Cat eat Fish as the breakfast

Ok, all, I got my syllabus for my English clinical class-and all I have to say right now is "WOW".

Not only do I have to teach for six hours in a remedial English class, but I have to grade papers and observe the class (and keep a journal). I will also do lesson plans, a teacher work sample, a research paper (yuck!), and attend meetings of the department for professional development. I am in the process of contacting the instructor for the remedial English class to work out logistics.
Also, I hope that I can observe an English teacher from my old high school and hopefully get involved with his Summer Reading Program. I'll ask about this during Spring Break, when I expect to begin my field observations.

that's nice, bov! :yeah: you can be a good teacher :D and i am surprised you can make so many children listen to you :p aren't they a little noisy sometimes?
i doubt if i were a teacher, those children would pick up chalks and throw them to me on my classes :o
yeah they are sometimes a little bit noisy but still can handle it. Like Soph said I really learn a lot from this teaching on my own, nobody around to help me..

problem yesterday, it was the last day of this period, so they all need some extra grades, all evening I was giving grades... and wow what was it poor :o

The weather is not looking good today. Blizzard warnings have been issued, and we could get up to 24 inches of snow   with winds in the 60's  !! Well, I know I'll be staying inside today, thats for sure.

Ah - where's your stamina girl? :) I got up at 2.00am to follow the Gonzalez match on live score (no TV coverage) and the match didn't finish til 5.30am. Well, Blizzard warnings were posted throughout the North East, (New England), and it was expected that we could get anywhere from 15-24 inches of snow. So I knew we were getting way more than one inch, lol. We probably already had an inch of snow before the storm.

Yes - poor Rafa  I got up at 7.30am and caught the last two sets. Seems Rafa got a groin strain that slowed him down and impeded his movement in the last set and a half. Eurosport were saying that the next match (Hewitt against either David or Coria) would be on Australia Day and would have the most amazing atmosphere as it's a public holiday over there. Guess that might put a lot of extra pressure on Hewitt, but he certainly fought his way throuh this last match. Maybe it is "his time" to win the tournament - Australia haven't had a local winner for so long.

And Nova - sorry about Willy  Actually Davydenko played really well against Henman too - maybe he is the "surprise package" of this tournament - they all seem to have one! Perhaps he may even beat Roddick next!

Apparently Coria was injured, he has a strained muscle and won't play for 3 weeks. He'll miss 2 tournaments.

I don't wish injury on anyone - no - not even Coria - but would it be cruel if I said I am glad I dont have to suffer watching Coria play doubles with David in Marseille and Rotterdam  I might get to watch a doubles partner I like more!

Yeah, I'd love to see them, but they will never show doubles over here, unless it's the DC...

All the sudden everyone has an oppinion...and something to say about David.

She didn't start a thread about-unless it got deleted. Anyway, why give her the satisfaction? If David does win, she will eat her words--so whatever....she's such a waste of posting space, that it's pathetic.

Not to change the subject  but now that I am the proud owner of ESPN LatinAmerica, I assume that they will be showing David's match live so I will be setting the VCR for overnight coverage and view it in the morning.

Here's my question. Since I watched some of the women's matches last night, who are the guys who commentate on ESPN Latin and what country are they from? Just trying to tune my ear to different accents, since all I'm used to hearing are Mexicans. Thanks,

In the GM thread where she accuses t_d of being "insensitive :) Actually Sophia - a few people have already reported that post of hers that you quote, as a Bad Post for making such insensitive remarks so soon after David's Dad's death.

PS. I still think the Coria trolls signature was better

OMG-OMG-OMG!!!!!!!

Not that this surprises anyone, but there is another story involving a teacher sleeping with a student.

First, it was a teacher several years, who slept with one of her students when he was 14 and had a child with him. She was charged with statutory ****, but was found mentally incompetent to account for her actions, and the child, a girl, was given to the young boy and his family to raise. Then, she went back to the same little dude, who is, I think, 18 (?!), and they have another child-another girl. I wonder why the parents never did anything to make sure she stayed in jail.

Now, there's another case-one of a 24-year-old woman who is accused by her husband of sleeping with one of her students, a 14-year-old. No further word yet as to how far this will go.

Overall, I think it's sick. I can't think of myself sleeping with a student or, if I were a student, sleeping with a teacher or professor. I think that the teachers propositioned the students with the promise of an "A" in class if they complied.

I get mad when I read or hear about stories like this. It makes you think, but it makes you want to jerk a knot in these teachers. Ughhh.....

I wonder if these people are the same time that have those goofy messages on their machines? People are nuts!! That's the bottom line. I can't imagine being attracted to a 14 year old. I was reading in the paper about a situation where the principal was hitting on a very young male student, trying to get him naked....the student put a tape recorder in his pants and recorded the whole thing. Good for him. I wonder how many kids that sicko principal took advantage of before this kid got him.

Ahh! You are lucky! I don't think Comcast offers it. Maybe one of the dishes does. I'll have to check it out. They'll never get the Tennis Channel but ESPN LA seems to show more tennis than regular ESPN. God forbid if they preempt Poker!
