It's our new currency. It does everything the old one does, and more!
And yes, you can still use it for vBookie.

The one we were using before had a security vulnerability. All of our existing balances should have carried over.

The new credit system is very robust. Some would say it's a little too realistic. We may have to make some "market adjustments" as we go to make it easier to use, but did anyone ever think it was easy to start up an economy?

Actually I think this way it's easier to have vCredits as prizes in any game...such as TT or PAW...cause the manager gets the admission fees and then the winner gets the whole bunch of vcredits.... maybe a 90% of it and the rest to the manager of the game ;)

I'm not saying let's do a lottery right now!!! BUT still we can do one :p

I don't think it's too complicated to do....maybe to have the manager doing it is not a good idea...but there could be some kind of cashier that gets all the vcredits...and then gives it away when the tourney's finished ;)

it actually is more complicated than that. Although i suggested this idea to steve ages and ages ago i dont think its a good idea anymore :) Say u decide to do it with TT and PAW then other game managers want their games to have vCreds for their winners. This can cause some problems :) Why did they get the bonus of having vCreds and not my game. Blah Blah Blah. It would be nice but you cant keep everybody happy :)

Actually I don't think this should be decided by the admin or anybody else but the ones playing those games...

TT has a very solid "board" of managers and everything is decided by them all....I guess PAW has the same structure....
If I started a new game and I wanted to "charge" an admission fee and people pay it....that's just fine ;)
I mean...I'm not proposing any game should have vCredits as prizes but I have already suggested to those that play TT DDL to have vcredits in the mix of the game....if Ray and the rest accept it...we can do it...:D and if they don't feel that it could work...then

well i understood you wrong then.. i was thinking vCreds as prize money for winners.. but you mean like... all the players have to pay (donate) vcreds to the mamager to play the game and he donates back to the winners or something like that?

lol, of course I didn't put anything to any savings. I only saw it increasing when I posted, and then rapidly dropping for no reasons.

Don't bother for giving it back, I really don't care, just was curious if it was another trick of the system. But the others don't seem to have the problem. If it keeps repeating, I'll post it here, so maybe it'll be helpful if the bug occurs at somebody else's.

There is a bug in the software... there seems to be a fix for it but the patch doesnt seem to be applied yet..

You can make multiple deposits to savings and vice versa, BUT the bug eats the money you deposit if you make 2 or more deposits. So what you need to do it only deposit once and when they money has come out of pending... then you can deposit again.. otherwise its all gone tot he bug :p :p

I've changed my mind - this new banking system sucks  I've lost over 50 credits since I returned to MTF around the New Year and have no idea why  Could users at least get a detailed breakdown of rewards and penalties so we know how to earn funds and avoid mysteriously losing them instead?

Edit: Decided moving my balance to savings was the safest course of action but it's going to be tedious having to do it constantly just to avoid losing some...

Seems to me like at least some of us are getting penalized for our absence - once again I am down down over 40 credits from my last visit. This is absolutely ridiculous - was there no sort of testing done before introducing this system? I was hoping to do quite a bit of vBetting during the AO but I honestly don't know how much I can afford to do now or whether I'll even get to keep any winnings

While this may not exactly be a life and death issue, the vCash system and everything that went with it was a different and unique feature of this forum that helped sway me to join up and participate. Now that it's been ruined, I'm probably going to spend a lot more time at another tennis forum that is much smaller but has a friendlier atmosphere - not to mention major changes affecting users are better communicated and handled.

The webmaster has already indicated that penalising posters for being inactive was not the intention, merely a glitch in the v-credits system. Hopefully he will have an update soon. In the meantime we're going to have to suck it up I'm afraid :(

I just put 1000 into savings from my "checking" and not a single cent disappeared. It worked just fine for me.

yes the amount she is missing is from interest the bank takes out.No, this is not possible. What happened was, I had over 50,000 credits in my 'checking'. On December 13, I put 40,000 from 'checking' to 'savings'. Then I put 10,000 from 'checking' to 'savings' - I posted a screenshot that clearly shows this. I did it on the same day. But my 'savings' balance is 42,849.00 today, and the 10,000 NEVER showed up in the 'savings' balance at all. This means I was obviously given some interest on my 40,000, but my 10,000 just completely disappeared. Again, I don't *care* it's just bizarre and obviously shows there is a bug in the system when people try to make two 'checking' to 'savings' transfers in the same day/before the first one comes complete.

You're right on this one, but only in part. Some people never make posts that get deleted later on. When I was losing my cash (I stopped following it anymore, couldn't care less - indeed I gained much interest) I posted only in my chat thread, because I don't have currently time to go anywhere else.

No one even reads it there, and still I could be -300 time and again. It's a bug in the bank based on randomness, time to face it.

As for deleting threads, everyone knows they're not deleted but removed from the public view, so nobody loses the credits; the same about the single posts sometimes.

I thought i made this clear in the bugs section but of course not every1 reads it :) Bit late but some others might come across this and benefit :P

There is a BUG in the vCredits software, that, when u make 2 deposits in the same day the 2nd deposit will be lost. Once the pending funds have cleared into your savings account you can deposit more. So mental note is NOT to deposit twice or more times in the same day or until funds have cleared

I'm sorry if it's been asked somewhere in the 10 pages  but how can I make the credits on top of the page disappear ? I find it rather annoying to see fictitious money on all my mtf pages. :o If it were real, i wouldn't mind  but as it is, I couldn't care less about Vcash, so far.

You have been given 200 vcredits (I think the amount is correct) after your registration here.
Then you can earn more by posting / creating threads or every time someone responds on those threads you created.

I think there should be a sticky with the exact amount of vcredits people earn by doing stuff on the board.

Anyway...there's the vBookie thing too...where you can bet for any tennis player with the credits and become vmillionare!! :rocker:
