This pic is from Saturday, he played tennis with a lot of kids, but he loved this one! It was sooo funny and sweet!
Anyway, a friend of mine just sent me two very funny pics, have you seen them before?

Is it some kind of tradition for becoming a top 30 player to milk a cow or something?? :lol: or maybe just tennis players have some strange soul connection with cows :lol: ..... but hey they r having fun!!!

Rosie, thanks for that photo. You probably don't know that one of the sponsors of the Copa Argentina was a furniture manufacturer, and their advertising gimmick was to place two sofas for the players to sit on! Another sponsor was Philishave, and they had a young guy who spent all the match shaving as he watched.

Reiko, that's the only photo I've seen with his gf. During the Copa Argentina final they showed her quite a lot on TV, and I liked what I saw (much more than those posed photos in her model book). She looks natural and intelligent. Does anyone know if they plan to marry soon? I remember the wedding was supposed to be at the end of the year.

Those were rumours, though I know this is the woman Gaston wants to start a family with. Knowing Gaston, I don't think they will get marry while he's on tour. Once he's retired, that's another story. I saw the final near from where she was and she was really nervous and screaming along with me, lol. And about pics of the couple, well...Gaston doesn't like it when photographs of them appear in the press. Both are very careful about posing together. It's the same thing between Mariano and his gf. If you see him after his matches, Natalia is always around being very nice to fans (most of the times she's the photographer who offers to take the pics of fans with Gaston).

Oh, and one silly comment about the shoes. The only time GG wore black shoes matching his suit was during the Masters ceremony. Before, during davis cup dinners he has always worn tennis shoes. So he was the pioneer and Roddick the copycat ;O)

Hi guys! I took these pics yesterday, they were showing on tv Gastón's interview before the RG final. This was the one in which he said Coria and David were "Galacticos".
Gastón was chosen one of the 30 people of the year 2004 by a tv show.

We also had our tv sport review of the year and of course, Gaston winning the French Open has been qualified of "the most surprizing achievement of the year in tennis". Nothing new but it was good to see him again...crying after his semi against David, not being able to believe he was going to play the final of his child's dreams...And applauding the crowd when they made that so famous hola...Hey, is that nostalgy that points out in my words?

Don't know whether you have been reading Experimentee's live reports
over on the Australian Open Thread? He/she is a real Hrbaty fan, and was at the match yesterday - in the report he/she says that fitness was the only thing between the two players in the end. It is a shame for Gaston but something he can work on for the future - he has proved how good he can be on hard courts now - physical conditioning and stamina can be improved with time and the right fitness regime so I think this whole thing is really positive.

Hi Rosie...well thanks for worrying about me! :D In fact, work's been hectic today...nothing really serious but not much time for breaks..so wasn't here too much today. Now it's weekend time, so you should see more often.. ;)

And Fergie, I laughed out loud when I saw the photo with the knitted woollen cap. That must be his lucky cap, because I've seen it appear in pics for the last three years or so! (and in Viña it's Summer now...). It must travel with him to all the tournaments, I bet it's frayed at the edges by now. :yippee:
