Thomas Johnasson is still in draw

BBC text says he has withdrawn ????????

Marat vs Kiefer (battle of the pea brains)

08-21-2002, 05:24 PM
I hate this draw !!!!!!!!! :fiery: :fiery:

Kuerten - Boutter :fiery: :fiery:
and then Safin or Kiefer !!!

08-21-2002, 05:28 PM
where is Misha ??????????

hasn't played at all in N America

08-21-2002, 05:33 PM
Don't like the prospect of Andre having to play Carlos in the last 16, otherwise he's got a good draw.

Greg has been lucky with Johansson almost certainly pulling out. Eggy, if Johansson pulls out, would Greg take Johansson's draw? Or would they move up Pete seeing he is the number 17 seed?

 for Guga's draw, the time he really needs a good draw :(

08-21-2002, 05:36 PM
JOhansson has withdrawn according to alot of reports
but he was still included in draw

ATP rules are totally diff to WTA so not really sure

At Aus Open when Andre w/d they just put a LL in his place ?????

08-21-2002, 05:36 PM
It says on Yahoo as well about Johansson, the same thing that was on Ceefax, so I think it's true. Maybe the organisers didn't know he had pulled out before they made the draw?

08-21-2002, 05:37 PM
Why doesn't Misha play during hardcourt season???

I don't like this year's draw, this is horrible :fiery:

08-21-2002, 05:38 PM

ferrero vs arthurs :fiery:
clement vs grosjean second round
santoro vs philippoussis second round
sampras/canas third round :(

anyway good Luck to all my faves!

08-21-2002, 05:39 PM
Hehehe, Juan Carlos vs Wayne Arthurs!! One of my favorite matchups. He also have a pretty good looking draw, depending on who those quallies are.

Perhaps best of all, the "Vowel Man" is in the other half!!!

08-21-2002, 05:41 PM
i wish the Qualifiers alot of luck :D

08-21-2002, 05:44 PM
Thanks Eggy.

I remember that about Andre in the Aus Open, but that might be because he withdrew just before the tournament. Looking back to Wimbledon last year, players pulled out a few days before it, and there was definitely a 33rd and 34th seed, because they got moved up to take the withdrawls place in the draw.

Maybe I'm hoping more than anything!!

08-21-2002, 06:09 PM
Crap Draw :fiery:

08-21-2002, 09:05 PM
damn, Hewitt's got a tough draw! i'm not buying him for my team!

08-21-2002, 09:10 PM
Juan Carlos has to play Wayne Arthurs again!
and Richard has to play Jiri Novak again!

08-22-2002, 12:13 AM
The worst draw ever.

Look at that last sqare:
Julien Boutter FRA vs Gustavo Kuerten BRA
Nicolas Kiefer GER vs Marat Safin RUS (2):sad:

Two of last year's last 8 will probably meet at the 2nd round. Unless Guga's nemesis will stop him. & the worst part of it is that 3 of them are my fave

08-22-2002, 05:41 AM
i love the draw! :D

King Aaron
08-22-2002, 09:44 AM

08-22-2002, 10:00 AM
when a player is in good shape than it doesn't madder against who he must play. It will only support his confidence more.

Evil Younes has kept away, thankfully :o

I'm not sure Arthurs is really that bad of a draw  He's played him twice, both on hard, and never lost a set.

Good luck Hewitt but all my hope goes to Tommy Haas :lick::lick::kiss::kiss::hearts::hearts::hearts:

I meant that Juan Carlos had a good looking draw, not Wayne :o I like watching Ferrero vs Arthurs because Juan Carlos always caps Mr. "All Serve No Shots", easily.

Vamos Juanqui!!
