How many games in a row was that for Davydenko exactly? I know Almagro was 4-2 up in the first, then when I next saw it he was 5-4 up and didn't win another game until the third set.

Almagro might've been 5-2 up, but I'm not entirely sure.

Almagro served for the first set at 5-3. Then Davydenko began his run.

Davydenko :yeah:

The commentators (from another match) said that Almagro had an injury. Does anyone know what it was? I didn't see the match.

He stopped after the first point of the 5th game in the 2nd set and recieved treatment (and some pretty heavy taping) to his right arm, just above the elbow.

Good stuff for Davydenko but it sounds as though Almagro gave him a lot of help in the first set.

Late last year Almagro had a retirement due to a "ruptured biceps" when leading in the set. He definitely has some kind of problem in that area.

He suffered an injury during his loss in Cincinnati a few weeks ago.

Ouch that sounds really nasty  It was just after a pretty little birdy had flown onto the court :p

I heard that Koyla won at least 10 games in a row so not sure if he got anymore. Shame for Almagro though, he was playing not too badly in the first set till his injury. Hope it gets better soon :)
