Nice win for Monaco, as the quest for Top 20 continues. Who knows, maybe he'll take the position of no.1 Argentinian

Dudi, Dudi, fucking hell.

He missed SO MANY BP chances in Monaco's last two service games, was 15:40 in the first, then 30:40 in the second.

Could have taken that one to a fifth, Dudi.

Good to see Pico get some decent results on hard. He's finally realizing his potential. The top 20 is very close, hope he can make it this year.

Good run for the Dude as well, after being bageled and two sets to love down he had the mental fortitude to fight back, though in the end I guess inexperience made him pay.

:woohoo: Pico!

Great day for Argentinians. (dammit Guille if only you played today! )

Well done Pico :)

Well done to Pico :rocker2: . The winner of the Hewitt-Calleri match awaits for him in the 3rd round. This is the first time in his career that he has made the 3rd round of a grand slam away from Roland Garros, which is a positive step for him.

Vamos Juani :rocker2: Keep it up :D

Pico is so underrated. He has managed to adapt his game to faster surfaces. Though he'll never be as good as on clay, he can still be a solid player on all surfaces.

09-01-2007, 02:37 AM
Like Pico, but like Dudi more. Best of luck though Monaco in the next round :yeah:

Dudi gain some confidence for DC... :scared: and our best player and hope now is... Cap:devil:le..... :rolls:

Well done Dudi for a great tournament.

It's reported that at the last game, when Dudi was leading 30:15, the Umpire corrected 2 line judge calls that shouldn't been called. Dudi was pissed off and didn't shake her hand at the end of the match. Anyway, after she had talked with the line judges after the match, she admitted that she made some wrong calls and she feels sorry for him

Interesting stuff - listen to that.

Apperantly the umpire admitted she made mistakes on the last two points on Sela's serve, where he got broken fighting to stay in the set (would have been 5:5 otherwise), after the questionable calls were made and the match was over, an Israeli journalist asked for an interview with the umpire (Christina Romero, I'm not sure I'm spelling right), apperantly she didn't want to react and said she is very confused and needed time to think, but later agreed to talk to the journalist. I'm translating back from Hebrew, don't think there's an English version anywhere.

Strange comments.

"After I discussed things with the line judges and thought about what happened, I realized I made a mistake in my desicions. In the first cast the line judge called "out" for a ball Monaco hit, and I was certain it was in, so I had to overrule. The second ball was very 'boarderline", but from what I saw Sela hit close to the line and no line judge called out so I had to go with my instincts"

A good umpire is an umpire who does goes with their instincts, supposedly, I ruined things for Sela a little bit, because he played really well, but I'm not sure he would have won it regardless. I feel really bad about myself, I never felt this way after a match, but mistakes are part of the sport and I'm sure Sela enjoyed from some bad calls and I'm not to blame for the loss. Sela could have asked for the umpire in charge who can reverse my desicions and I can't understand why hasn't done so"

Good job Pico :yeah:

I think this 2nd round was a kind draw for Monaco, but good to see him winning and exploiting this :yeah:
