He has a chance to take Ljuba Truba out in the next round.

Unlikely. Chela wins what he has to win and lose what he has to lose. He's very predictable.

True. But Ljuba Truba loses early at slams and has been playing poorly - so him losing is also predictable. It boils down to which of the two is most unpredictable  .

That's right...plus, he is 0-6 against the nasty Croatian

Ljuba Truba either loses in first round or goes far in the tournaments.

Thats exactly what I like about him :yeah: So good, so consistant, so loyal :)

Well done - and why not taking out Ljubo/Pavel who are not at their best?

Teimuraz Gabashvili vs Robby Ginepri
Stanislas Wawrinka vs (25) Marat Safin
(20) Juan Ignacio Chela
(Q) Andrei Pavel vs (12) Ivan Ljubicic

(15) David Ferrer vs Florent Serra
Xavier Malisse vs (24) David Nalbandian
Tim Henman vs Jo-Wilfried Tsonga
Janko Tipsarevic vs (2) Rafael Nadal

With Nadal injured, I wouldn't rule out Ljuba Truba to win the quarter. :tape:

Except at Grand Slams :wavey:

Most of his Grand Slam losses came at the first round. AO'07 and USO'06 for exemple.

True, but still he loses at QF at the latest.

Most of his losses after the first round in Grand Slams are expected. Volandri is a better claycourter than him, so it's normal to watch him lose against the Italian in Roland Garros. Same goes for Paul-Henri Mathieu in Wimbledon.

Now looking at his draw in here, if he doesn't face Nadal, he may win the whole quarter, because there isn't any player there that he can't beat. The hardest one would be Ferrer and I doubt he can beat Nalbandian next sunday.
