Haas in four with two tie-breaks.

Doesn't look impossible for Haas.

But I should say that I didn't see anything of Grosjean's matches so far. Maybe if I saw that Grosjean is somewhat playing his top 10 or top 20 game, good whippy forehand, good footwork, aggressive returns, serve on fire... I probably would go with him because it could be a roll of dice to judge Tommy's status exactly. He basically played against two Grand Slam newbies so far.

Grosjean played a blinder today, if he plays the same quality, good tennis, he will definately win.

It was something amazing like well over 50 winners, to 16 unforced errors I think.

:yeah:

When Sebastien was in better form from the past. Tommy Hass HATED playing grosjean. Grosjean have a very strong head to head record with him only till recently. When Grosjean is at his best he is simply like Richard Gasquet playing Andy Roddick in WImbledon but except with the forehand and not the backhand. If Grosjean can get past this he'll continue winning I believe to play Federer. :)

He played well, but those stats can be a bit misleading. He was playing Max who attacks the net on just about every point so you really can't rack up the UE's against him. Even if you miss an easy pass, it won't go down as an UE.

Grosjean is in great form once more finally, and Tommy's is pretty good too. It's one of those unpredictable matches, but it would mean everything for Sebastien to win this one. He's determined to regain his form, so I say Seb in 4.

Haas' recent form has been pretty has been pretty mediocre. Hes not really at peak fitness either.

You know, the way his shoulder is right now, Haas might retire from a match any minute, so as a Haas fan I don't expect anything.
I don't know how Grosjean played, but Haas' baseline play wasn't the best in those first two matches.

that doesn't matter. mentally he's right up there, and the mental part has always kept him from achieving something huge. he's calm and ready to drop bombs this time, i feel it! :bounce:

You're reading too much into one match against a no name player.. His mental hasn't been that bad since hes long injury lay off anyway.

I meant his form was decent regarding his opening round matches, but as you pointed out, they were no-name players. I noticed he lost some conditioning, but even discluding his injury layoff, Tommy often loses fitness as the season wears on, which I don't really understand. He's a hard worker during the off-season, but not so sure about his training while on the circuit.

Same goes for Seb, his form has been awful aside from his last 2 matches and could be fitter himself.

Haas would pull a hard-fought 5-set victory, just like Kiefer at AO last year

will Haas throw the racket on Grosjean's side as well?

This is a pretty exciting match, Grosjean having a horrific year, this is my pick of the third round matches.

Haas is a mental idiot, soon as he goes into a grumpy mood, match over.

Actually did watch most of it, 3 quarters of it I reckon, that is only a one off match, you seen Safin vs Dancevic, didn't you?
