I hope he'll play first of all! It's doubtful right now because of his shoulder problems...

problems with spacebar?

Tommy will not repeat his result from last year even if he plays and will lose points in ranking

Does anyone have details about Tommy's shoulder?

Like everyone else, I'd really like to see him get back to 100% health.

Thanks Carlita. :)

Provided he is able to play, making it into the 3rd round is a must. Who knows, maybe he'll do that by defeating two fellow country men (see RG 2006). First a german Qualifier, followed by Becker.
Bagdhatis would already be a very tough test.

TommyB.
08-23-2007, 05:20 PM
There was a german chat with Tommy at tennis-germany.de one hour ago! :)

Tommy will decide at the weekend if he plays or not. Doc Eder is coming from Munich to treat him...I guess he'll try it next week.

TommyB.

Yes he'll try it. :)

First opponent is Darcis who played well in july, but he's better on clay imo.

Go Tommy!

Darcis might be a tricky opponent. Come on Tommy!

Baghdatis72
08-27-2007, 11:46 AM
He will probably go out in the 3rd round since he'll probably play Baghdatis half injured, if he gets there.

Jogy

He is starting and I hope he can play without shoulder pain. Stevie at the first round is not so easy as opponent, I hope he is fine to play and take him easy in three or four sets.

AUF GEHT TOMMY!

After leading 2 sets 2 love Tommy lets Seb Grosjean back into match.wasnt sure how 5th set would pan out as once grosjean gets a sniff of victory he is a very determined and cagey player to defeat and Tommy is known to crack big time on occasions. Not this time though through to 4th round. Can he make it 2 the semi finals that is now the question.

I'm glad Tommy could win the match against Grosjean.
I hope he did not loose to much energies in this match, because he could win it in three sets!!

It is right when Tommy Girl says that win against Blake from Paris is not good example, becaus Blake is more easy to beat outside of USA

I hope Tommy can play well, then we see and maybe has chance to win! He can beating a lot of players everywhere when good!!

Hi viewers. After that 5 set marathon against Grosjean - would have liked to had seen that match here in Australia on Fox Tv - will Tommy beat James with the US crowd more than likely cheering every point that Blake wins.Tommy beat James last time they met but this is Grand Slam Tennis and Tommy wont want to let Blake tie the match up 2 sets all.Well this fan is cheering for Tommy even though James is an all round nice guy.Go Tommy.

All the stats are so close, there's not one thing that stands out. Although, Haas had less break point opportunities, but converted more of the ones he did have! Both men were brilliant.

What a great match between Haas and Blake. For Tommy to be match point down regain his composure and win the match was just super for all Haas fans.Talk about being the marathon man of the US Open-over the last few days he has played 18 sets.Going into that last set tie breaker I honestly didnt know which player would walk away victorious - though hoping it would be Tommy.Very tense for awhile 3 points all then Tommy was up 5 points to 3.Then those calls -was hoping Tommy wouldnt crack- but not to worry that 2nd call was judged in and Tommy had made the QFs.Go Tommy hope you beat more than likely Davydenko and make the SFs.Imagine the atmosphere of a Haas Roddick Semi.Linda

Congratulations to Tommy! It was a great match, but after all these long matches, poor Tommy must be exhausted and his next opponent has had an easy ride so far. Maybe there will be a nice long rain delay to give him another day off.

One of the reasons I am a Haas fan is that he plays some of the greatest, most competitive matches consistently, of all the players. Unless he is injured, he pushes better players to their limits and keeps the matches close. Think of his prior matches with Agassi, for example. We knew today's match would be a good one--and it was.

Go Tom!

Omg Tommy. After saving three match points in the fifth set!

This match reminded me so much of the Haas vs. Davydenko match at the AO this year (in the QF), the fact that Tommy raced through the fourth set (as he did today against Blake) and looked like he was gonna choke in the fifth set before saving match points. Almost identical! And the most ironic thing is that Davydenko is Tommy's next opponent! :p

Congrats for the great win over Blake Tommy, and go for it against Kolya. :yeah:
