This match just takes forever to finish!
Johansson def Clément in a 4 sets marathon 6-4 7-6 6-7 7-6Lee 08-30-2007, 11:00 PM This match just takes forever to finish! Sjengster 08-30-2007, 11:00 PM Tremendously tight match, Clement was up a break in the third and took it eventually and they were neck and neck throughout the fourth, but Tojo held on in the end. Amazing to think where he was the last time he played Roddick, it's sad to think of what might have been without the eye injury. Good luck though! scarecrows 08-30-2007, 11:01 PM amazing ToJo, I was giving him as a finished player but he played brilliant would have been 3-0 if he had got more first serves in the TB of that set Clement needed some wonderful shots to win points at times good luck against Roddick, he surely has a chance Burrow 08-30-2007, 11:02 PM Good for Thomas! It was a very tight match. Unlucky for Clement :( Henry Chinaski 08-30-2007, 11:04 PM Good match. Some of those ball kids deserve a nobel peace prize or something for resisting the urge to kick Clement square in the nuts. Voo de Mar 08-30-2007, 11:05 PM They were playing 10 times against each otehr in the past but today's match between these two was tight for the first time. selyoink 08-30-2007, 11:07 PM Clement had saved two match points in the third set breaker. Sjengster 08-30-2007, 11:08 PM I'm really going to miss Tojo when he's gone, now that I think of it. A solid professional, although certainly not the emotionless one that many have claimed considering the outbursts I've seen. His blog from Rome last year is worth revisiting, it got eclipsed by Tursunov's tomfoolery but it was very funny in its own right. LeChuck 08-30-2007, 11:08 PM That was an enjoyable match and well done to Tojo :yeah: . He had beaten Clement at Washington DC about a month ago so I thought that he had a chance of repeating the feat today. Good luck to him against Roddick. Lee 08-30-2007, 11:09 PM Good match. Well, USO has ball adults not kids ;) I believe all of them are forewarned of Clément. ;) Blue Heart24 08-30-2007, 11:09 PM ToJo :bigclap: Good luck against Roddick. gam_jonte 08-30-2007, 11:10 PM Amazing play from ToJo thought he would lose concentration after losing the third set tiebreak, but he came out very strong in the fourth and made an amazing fourth tiebreak ^^ will be fun to see how he plays against Roddick in what could be called a DC pre-match =) scarecrows 08-30-2007, 11:12 PM That was an enjoyable match and well done to Tojo :yeah: . He had beaten Clement at Washington DC about a month ago so I thought that he had a chance of repeating the feat today. Good luck to him against Roddick. i didnt take that match into consideration when making my predictions since Clement was coming from injury Henry Chinaski 08-30-2007, 11:13 PM It was also good to see that Tojo's eyes seemed to be fine in the fading light. He played Monfils in similar conditions at Wimbledon and conceded a crazy amount of aces (an average of more than 2 per game) so I had my concerns. Pixie 08-30-2007, 11:36 PM Nice match to watch. I found ToJo much more nimble-footed than I would have thought given his recent results. Since the moment he overcame 3 BP at 2*-3 in the fourth, he had no problem on his serve and played a perfect last TB. He could give Roddick troubles next round, interesting match to come. Fergie 08-31-2007, 12:56 AM Good job ToJo! :yeah: GlennMirnyi 08-31-2007, 01:55 AM Tojo! cellophane 08-31-2007, 04:44 AM Kill Roddick now, Thomas. Arnaud  Sommarsverige 08-31-2007, 06:00 AM Congrats Thomas :yeah: :yeah: I was following the match on scoreboards and the 3rd set tiebreak was almost killing me  I was forced to go to bed after that, but great to see now Thomas won :bounce: I am already looking forward to the match against Roddick :) VolandriFan 08-31-2007, 11:01 AM Poor Arnaud  This really isn't the result he needed this week.
