hmmm not even sure who i want to win this match. both players need a big result in a slam but i almost think another early loss for Safin it may be time to close the book on his career as big time player.

im going for safin and think he will win cause stan played a 5 setter and safin looks to be playing better.lets all hope marat gets his movement back to a good levelcasue thast when he was at his best when he was moving so fast.

This is a tricky match for Marat, but he plays well on this surface, so I say Marat in 4 or 5.

See, I don't think this is really all that tricky, Wawrinka hits quite big, not massive. Doesn't move great, and can fall away mentally, although he has definately improved mentally, I see this as a pretty good match up for Safin, I can't see it going to 5 sets.

Safin. Can't see an upset here.

Wawrinka has some good shots - especially on his backhand side but he is too inconsistent to trouble Safin. Also Stan will find it difficult to deal with Safin's power game on this surface. Safin in 4.
