Special K! :D Saving those three setpoints at 4-5 in the first was crucial, after the tiebreak the match was basically over.

I thought this would be a bad match-up for Stefan facing a big server as the return is not the best part of his game, but he was able to pull Querrey all over the court with sharp cross-court angles from the baseline. It's nice to be reminded that he can do that, he's a groundstroking lefty but on a bad day his shots resemble Arthurs more than Nadal.

I was certain Querrey would face Blake in the third round, now he'll probably be up against one of two lefties, Koubek or Llodra.

and four more at 5-6. :tape:

what a pathetic match from sam. he lost those two sets in the same amount of time it took me to take a shower. :rolls:

nice win for koubek.

Ah, that I didn't realise. Well, that does help explain the ease of the last two sets, though not the speed of them.

Querrey is a joke. Good job quitting in front of your home crowd on a show court after losing the first set.

Less surprised by the result than the scoreline  What a dismal performance, especially with all the USA commentators sooo excited about the 'rebirth' of American men's tennis and talking Querrey up :o

Querrey blew SIX set points in the first set, 'nuff said! (3 at *4-5, 3 at *5-6)

Cannot understand how player who served 7 or more aces in a match a while ago loses 2 sets 6-1 6-1. Surely his serve is too big to lose a set that easily.

Sam  did Blake give you his "Choker's Manual"?

wait, nah, he must have had 2 copies, because he's reading the HELL out of now :o:ras:

I was underestimating Filo I suppose, but Llodra seems to be back in control again. Good news for Blake with his winning streak against lefties.

Based on JMac's commentary he sounds like he's rooting for Russell more than for Blake. Go figure.

Another GAWH bites the dust. :bigwave: Querrey

I'm not really surprised. Koubek is a tricky customer.

I had a feeling that Koubek was going to be a really tough outing for Sam. No idea the scoreline would reflect it in such a major way, though. Wow.

Talking about a choke with 6 or 7 match points in the 1st set, never got over it after that.

I was at this match, after Sam blew the 7 set points in the first set it looked like he just packed it in mentally and totally rolled over.

Great stuff El Fashionista, the only thing predictable about him is his unpredictability. He plays very well when you least expect it, then he can lose 21 games in a row.
