a player can try to get into the maindraw of all 3 tournaments but has to name his priority tournament. And if he gets into the main draw in two or three tournaments he will have to play his priority tournament.

my Swedish succs but this sounds like Joachim Johansson got the first wild card, don't you think??

If Stockholm Open-nytt
Joachim " Pim-Pim" Johansson får årets första Wild Card till If Stockholm Open.

If Stockholm Opens första Wild Card går till Joachim "Pim-Pim" Johansson

Max Mirnyi has not asked for a WC according to the tournament director, therefore I assume he will play the qualifying, but you never no, some info are always secret...But he is in Stockholm. More players that are here at the moment are for example Monaco, Bopanna, Sa, Ancic, Dancevic etc etc

Sure that only 2 rounds will be played???

But with the swedish qualifiers: The swedish field is so weak these days, so no one really deserves to have a chance to qualifiy.

2nd Wildcard goes to Michael Ryderstedt but what does this say in the end about Bob Bryan???

10-05-2007, 11:49 AM
yes second WC went to Micke Ryderstedt :)

the part about Bob Bryan has something to do with the DC semis.

patrik77
10-05-2007, 12:00 PM
It is said that the reason Ryderstedt was with the DC squad in Gothenbourg was that he is a lefty. The Swedes needed a lefty practice partner because Bob Bryan is a lefty.

(Unfortunatelty Ryderstedt missed the qualifyings in Beijing, Bangkok and Tokyo because of that)

Well, I think it´s not that strange. It is the fourth time he is playing Stockholm and last time in 04 he reached the semis (lost to Agassi in the best match of that tournament). I know he played Wienna more times and even won there, but stranger things has happen than this....for example that Max Mirnyi for the first time chose to NOT play Russia because of the doubles with Bjorkman.
