Davydenko through to 2R - Beat Levine 6-4 6-0 6-1jonny84 08-27-2007, 05:18 PM 4th seed through safely 6-4 6-0 6-1 :yeah: Only lost five games! :bigclap: Rogiman 08-27-2007, 05:28 PM And this is the guy with whom Federer supposedly prepares to Nadal :o stebs 08-27-2007, 05:30 PM Business like as always. :) On MP Levine tried to serve volley and didn't even reach the service line before the ball came back at him. :help: Fee 08-27-2007, 05:33 PM Jesse is not a serve and volleyer. To be honest, this result doesn't surprise me at all. Levine is very green and very young in some ways, even if he went 21-0 in his freshman year at UF. He is also kind of small, 5'8" max when I met him last year at a Challenger, and not very muscular. He has probably grown and developed somewhat in that time, but he will have a LOT of adjusting to do to get up to the level of the guys on tour. He probably should have stayed in college one more year before turning pro, but sometimes a match like this gives you some learning in a hurry. stebs 08-27-2007, 05:36 PM Jesse is not a serve and volleyer. Well assuming a guy like that wants to raise his confidence Davydenko is probably one of the worst players to face. He returns so well that you aren't going to get those service games as you might with some other top players in early rounds such as Roddick or even Federer at times. As for the serve and volley it was evident it wasn't exactly natural from watching but he didn't look like he was too upset at such a crushing defeat. TheBoiledEgg 08-27-2007, 05:37 PM Kolya slam business as usual selyoink 08-27-2007, 05:48 PM Way to take out the trash Nikolay Burrow 08-27-2007, 06:00 PM Easy. The score is way harsh though :o Andre♥ 08-27-2007, 06:27 PM Fixed :ras: UDACHi 08-27-2007, 06:44 PM business as usual. keep up the good work, kolya. lots to defend now. jole 08-28-2007, 02:06 AM At least Levine had plenty of support today. These two hot, Jewish chicks dressed like it was the Lexington Derby were making all kinds of noise. MCL 08-28-2007, 02:11 AM :) Good Job Davydenko | |
