He will never get to number 1 in my opinion, someone like djokovic will keep him at arms lengths :)

"That's up to him" would be my answer.
I know that sounds as a crazy question but does he really want to become number 1??

There are loads of players that could be #1 - its just getting there. Federer has been number one now for the last three years constantly.

He will have to fight off Federer himself, Nadal, Djokovic, Berdych and others to get there.

It depends if he has a breakthrough like Fed...His career till now is remarkebly similar to that of Fed's early career, so it's not too far off to expect him to rise the rankings in a big way,...I think he will get #1 at some point during his career, never as dominant as Federer, but a few weeks somewhere around 2010.

Too many players of his age or younger that are better than him, I severely doubt he will get to no.1 but if he does it would take a lot of improving, further we don't know who out of the current 15/16/17/18 yr olds are going to become champions and probably make it even more difficult for him to get there.

NEVER EVER, Gasquetards!

He is nothing special, has a superb performance one day and the next day he looses to Vliegen or some No.88

(Gasquet)ards can be happy with top 10 position.

Never.

never is a long time.

fed didin't have the competition gasquet will/does have-Djoker and Murray and Nadal. Fed mainly had Safin who turned out to be a BIg head case.

But Gasquet is still the player that makes the most beautiful shots and is the most fun to watch. And that means something to me. But his personality will probably keep him from winning a lot of big tournaments.

"That's up to him" would be my answer.

true. he can achieve a lot if he pulls himself together and starts fighting like a man, because, let's face it, he can play tennis like no other except for federer. but he's still not able to fight tennis, be it mentally or simply physically.

Yes, he can play, but he doesn't fight enough to be #1.
If he does find how to fight, one day he will. Otherwise, never.

Most probably never.

Whilst I enjoy the way he plays (a helluva lot more entertaining than most of the other youngsters) becoming #1 doesn't happen to everyone. He's gotta compete with Nole, Rafa, Murray etc and whilst he can do it, the odds are against him.

The rise of the Geminis continues!

Rafa is a Gemini. He's already number 2.

But is the Ego King is a Leo (meow) and enjoys his place! So no chance for Gasquet for a while.:p

THere'll be less chance. But very likely he'll be another Sebastien Grosjean who consistently underperform and never climb in rankings.

He'll have to hope that his form is top notch once Federer starts to slip. Fed will probably do a Sampras in that he'll always do well at the Slams, but won't play enough to be ranked #1. Even at that, it's asking for a lot because who knows what kind of form the likes of Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Roddick, Baghdatis, Berdych, etc will be in.

Voted for Never.

The overrated clown Gasgay will never be #1.

He is too much off a pansy and loser to ever achieve much.

Most probably never except if he improves radically in the next 3 years and Federer, Nadal and Djokovic get injured. He has the talent but lacks to mental consistency which will take him there.

The overrated clown Gasgay will never be #1.

He is too much off a pansy and loser to ever achieve much.Unlike yourself, a true fighter who never gives up, with endless credentials to your name and countless titles :worship:

You, being the legend you are, would never abandon your promises or even, heaven forbid, create a female account :worship:

Fucking loser, I bet you're a fat geek who hasn't done any physical activity (sex included - and no, giving heads to your Nadal poster doesn't count) in years.
