Congrats James on your 10th title. :worship:

Time to update the "Trophy Room" thread finally. :D

Great effort from Mardy to win five matches this week. If he can beat Boredo in the second round, he's got a great shot at the fourth round.

Limited...wow. Blake isn't limited when he is on and believe. I think he always will have doubts in the ability he has and imo that will be more of his downfall.

Even my beloved Rafter had to tell Blake to believe and that he belongs.

James had a good tournament after escaping against Calleri, I still wonder about the wisdom of going deep (actually winning) here just before the US Open, we will see soon enough.

Reacing the finals the last two weeks has pretty much ruined JB's chances of going deep at the Open (max is QF).

Who were the male commentators on the main US tv feed?

The highlight of this final was listening to them chatting shit and singing (occasionally in falsetto) during the commeercial breaks oblivious to the fact that anyone watching the betfair stream could hear their every word.

Brad Gilbert won 20 titles and was runner-up 20 times from 1982-1990. This time span saw these players winning slams: Connors, McEnroe, Wilander, Lendl , Becker, Edberg, and Sampras. Was that a clown era as well? Every generation has clowns. Where's Hitchhiker's thread when you need it?

It really is. Serving at 50% is actually not at all that bad for him as he routinely serves under 50% throughout the season.

:yeah:

Class act James wins and Mardy finally catches a break from injuries and bad luck to make another final. It was great to see them play together.

And every single J-Block hat and t-shirt was sold out at the ProShop. The J-Block must be doing something right. :)

I just love how they're such great friends, as soon as the match was over they both had huge smiles on their faces. The embrace at the net shows just how close those two are, nice to see with so much animosity in sports.

It was great to see. Congratulations to Mardy for playing so well this week. And congratulations to James for a great tournament. I was only able to see the final, but James seemed to calm down and really play within himself. If he continues to play like this, he could go far at the USO. :worship:
