Blake was leading *5:3 (40-15) in the third :retard:
Calleri, Mathieu, Blake - one big kettle of chokers :D

Fun match from what I saw. Paulo's first serve just completely deserted him in the TB though, he couldnt recover from that. James played well to.

Congrats James! :hearts: Win the final now. :armed:

Paulo, please do well at the Open.

James had 6-4 3-6 *5-3 (40-15) and then lost four straight points to get broken. :o

Still, it was an excellent effort from James to bounce back after getting broken when serving for the match and take care of business in the tie break.

It'll be a Blake-Fish final tomorrow, so it's an excellent opportunity for James to claim his 10th career title.

A good win considering he blew 2 match points when serving for the match at 5-3. :o

Should have too much for Fish if he has enough left in the tank tomorrow!!

4th "MP saved winner" this season is guaranteed because they both, Blake & Fish saved match point on a route to the final

Very tight all the way. Interesting matches this of late if you want to see some hitting: Blake-Davy, Blake-Verdasco-, Blake-PHM.

He hit 2 backhands into the bottom of the net on those match points but at least he came out and stormed through the tie break. He has a lot of confidence right now!! :)

 James tried to throw this one away... but thankfully that didn't work. :p

I said it generally :) These three players are the best in wasting match points and losing those matches. It's a miracle Blake won today ;) :wavey:

He was playing PHM so even if Blake choked, there was always a good chance of a counter-choke by PHM.

Funny thing for me - choker Blake has won two tight matches this week against two other big chokers - Calleri and Mathieu

It will be a sad day if Blake wins his 10th title tomorrow . A real shame

Why was it a miracle? Are you saying not winning a match after saving MPs = a choke?

Yeah, something new in his game. He has lost so many matches after serving for the match. But this time, when he lost that 9th game, I still believed he'll win. The victory over Calleri could have been crucial for his self-confidence. I begin to believe that he finally win first five-setter.

Am I not allowed to delete this thread? Someone made it first. :ras:

They'll merge it.

Blake is a nutcase, but he delivers in those kind of courts.

PHM's 1st serve went on vacation during TB

No bagel. No obvious choking. Enough for now.

Give me a break, I don't have enough energy to give you plenty examples of Blake's losing sets and matches after losing "serving for set/match". It was a "miracle" in this context.

Ok I get you now. Yeah it was good to see Blake regroup mentally after wasting 2 MPs, uncharacteristic for him.

Oh well, he played the strongest player on tour, mentally  :p
Players know they have mental edge over :silly: despite wasting a few MPs.

 This was all Agustin Calleri's fault

True. But it's in his gene. The choking gene took his 1st serve on vacation during TB

I blame him too. And it's Paulo's fault for being French

Good job from Blake though. :yeah:

Blake deserve to win this title! I think the word "choker" is used a bit too much by some people here, who probably do not play much tennis.
