Armstrong is better :) I wish I was going! I would have been thrilled with him on Armstrong :D

Every single person who goes to the USO hates Ashe. I'm standing on the platform waiting for the train and I hear everyone talking about how much they hate Ashe. When you're in Armstrong, you REALLY hear everyone talking about how much they hate Ashe. You just can't see ANYTHING.

I didn't go in Ashe, Armstrong, or Grandstand today. :p

I have in the past though. But today I felt like watching a lot of doubles and the matches that were on smaller courts. I wanted to see Murray or Haas but I just never got around to it.

So many near misses with us today!

I was at court 6 for a long time! Just not when you were. I watched Andreev's match. Or some of it.

I was at Verdasco/Simon, Cañas/Lee, Kunitsyn-Tursunov/Bhupathi-Zimonjic, Lopez/Andreev, Booty-Stretch/Behrend-Mayer, Horna/Almagro, back to Lopez/Andreev, Seppi-Verdasco/Gabashvili-Karlovic. Looking back, I saw tons of doubles!

And the practice courts in between. :p

Nah. This year I just didn't feel like watching people I have watched play a billion times, so I went looking for new people... I recently started playing tennis tipping on WTAW so I'm more interested in WTA than I was before.... so I ended up at a lot of WTA matches this year  And I avoided people like Robredo or Acasuso or Moya who I have seen probably a zillion bajillion times, and instead went to see people like Isner, Young and Gulbis. :p

I didn't watch a single WTA match at the Open this year...But Jankovic walked right past me, which was cool, and I saw Lucie Safarova practicing. WTA just doesn't interest me as much. This was my fourth year going to the Open (fifth time) but really only the third time when I was into tennis, so I haven't seen anyone play a billion times. But I've seen Hantuchova, Massu, Lee, and Nadal play multiple matches live (not counting practices, where I've seen many repeats).

I agree about the pressure. Cramping in the beginnig of 3rd set definitely because of nerve.

Nole is not serving well today. His serving percentage is not good and has no cheap points from his serve.

Stepanek plays really well.

What was said? I turned it off.

I have noticed though, that Jim really seems to hate Nole. He went on and on about he's no where near to being in the same class as Federer and Nadal, etc.

Jim is so biased, the worst commentator ever. He openly cheers for people he likes, and slams people he doesn't. He's kind of a joke. I don't think he's very intelligent, either.

anyway, can someone tell me what he said in the on-court interwiev? (or comentator refused to shut up).
good that it's over I ran out of my superstition rituals!

I missed the first thing he said cause I was trying to turn on the DVD recorder but I think he thanked the crowd. I'll try to transcribe the rest here: :)

NOLE: "I really don't know what to say, I'm totally exhausted, no energy. I smell my shoes, they're so stinky. I try to heal (?) myself and get over my injuries. I had cramping in both of the legs and an arm and back and Radek (laughs) and head..."

BARKAN: "Alright, stop complaining!"

NOLE: "Anyhow, it's good to be through."

Barkan asks if his good tie break and fifth set records gave him confidence

NOLE: "Well, yeah as you said you know I have a pretty impressive result in tiebreaks in my career in these couple of years and yes, I have this mental advantage when I get to the tiebreak, but you know it's a matter of luck and just concentration."

BARKAN: "Will you be able to recover in time for your next match?"

NOLE: "I don't know," he says with the dry humor, shaking his head and laughs, "You have any tips to give me? I mean, you look good, so..." and everyone laughs :)

BARKAN: "Not like you," laughing

Then they talked to Stepanek.
