Stop or play......injuries

There is an article on an Argentine paper
Guillermo says: "against Ljubicic I felt something on my abs, I got
scared, and I started to serve slowly. I almost retired from that
match and I would have done so if the abs were a problem.(is a
problem or is not a problem?) Last night (saturday) I stayed working
with the kinesiologist in order to stop the pain (SO, THERE IS AN INJURY AND IT HURTS); today (sunday) I changed the serve(IT IS AFFECTING HIS GAME), and luckily it didnt hurt
(BUT IT HAS BEEN HURTING)" explained Coria.

Regarding the injuries he said: "What happens is that things are
going well ( HE NOT STOPPING JUST BECAUSE THING ARE GOING WELL BUT THERE IS AN INJURY)but the only short match was against Ferrer. Many thought
that I was not going to be able to get to the end (MANY THINK YOU ARE NOT WELL) but I did.
For Hamburg I only trained 3 days(HE IS NOT TRAINING WELL). I was not well trained and I had
to face dangerous players. At the begining of the week I never
thought I was going to get so far." ( He NEVER THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO WIN THE TOURNAMENT).

You see there are a lot of contradictions here that's why I am a bit
concern. First of all I think that he has to stop talking about the
injury or really taking care of it. On one side he says that he is
doing fine and on the other it seems that he spends a lot of time
regarding this injury.

I dont think that he will win RG if he is changing his serve, he is
not at his 100%, he is feeling some pain, and he is not training as
much as he needs to. On Saturday he almost retired....and then he
plays against Federer and expects to win. I dont think so!! Cheers!

i said that i thought perhaps his abs were an issue again because of his tentative serving during his last few matches at Hamburg. the thing that bothers me most is the whining... :(

if you are too injured to play - default and take care of the injury! no one will think less of you! if you choose to play - do your best and make no excuses...

suck it up, babe! i love you -- but you have to cut out the whining... it's getting old.

DAMN IT! That's why I always say that the kid's very anxious! He wants to play as many tourneys as he can, but he doesn't realise that sometimes he has to stop, take a breath and continue!
Geez.. he better be 100% for RG... thankfully he has a week to 'rest'.
