Even though Roger's serving is still crap, he is controlling the rallies. He is playing the match just the way he wanted. Confidence is coming back, even though there is an error here and there. That break WAS the turning point of the match.

Game, Set, Match. Congratulations Federer. You played a great game. ;)

Kick ass in RG Coria. That cup is your destiny.

Federer gets interviewed not on German TV

he says it's incredible having won this tournament twice now

Federer is further saying that he had to find his game in the 1st set, he made it too easy for Coria because he was too passive and all Coria had to do is waiting for his error

being asked if he can win the GRAND SLAM this year, Federer says everything is possible, but it's not worth talking about it right now because it is so difficult

No pride in defeating the wounded Coria, but still good comeback

Yeah, don't tell me - they are all 'tired', 'wounded' and what do I know what when they play against Fed in finals.

I'd say that it's more about Roger being damn good player, that's what it is.

I got blisters on my hand due to sport so I'm sure it affected how Coria held his racquet.

I agree at this moment Roger is more settled and more experienced than Coria. I think we will see many battles between Guillermo and Roger. I am glad it was a tight match. I am really happy for that.

Beating a slightly injured Coria here is different from, potentially, having to beat some combination of Moya, Costa, Ferrero, Coria, etc. at Roland Garros.

Speaking of JCF, when is he going to play again? RG?

yes, Ferrero's going to play RG

Coria will beat Roger...just a matter of time. I have no doubt in my mind - as I said he (roger) is more settled and experienced than Mago at this moment for this matches. VAMOS MAGO :worship:

Well done Rogi, congrats for the title:D!!! You fully deserved it:)!

Congrats to both players:D!!!

Oh for sure Coria will win matches from Roger. Roger doesn't have to play every clay courter to win RG. He just has to win 7 matches. I really don't see him winning it this year but a qrt or semi would be great.

But honestly I am impressed for Coria's performance...what do you think?

Dirk

Coria's performance all week long has been very impressive. All year long actually. I just feel sorry Coria lost Miami.

no don't think so... the doubles final should be scheduled after the singles final on Centre Court

Congratulations, Rogi!! Wow, what a fight vs. the best on clay today... also fab match vs. Lleyt yesterday!!

Coria played so well in the first and Rogi's UEs and low ast serve were pretty bad... it was as if they never played each other... both feeling each other out I think but credit to Rogi for fighting and raising his game to finally beat Coria...

Yay, 3rd TMS for Rogi, his 2nd Hamburg [only guy to do it besides Muster?] and denying Coria his defence plus stopping Coria's great clay streak.

Well, Rogi is a claycourt specialist, in his own way.

This match was great experience for Rogi.

That about sums up my emotions. I've just gone through all 30 pages so I'm glad to "see" that Guille still played well for most of the match. Just not long enough  .

He had a hell of a week to get to the Final so I hope he can still be purod of himself when the disappointment passes. Now, I can only look forward to the 1 hour highlight reel on ESPN tonight

Congrats on the week, Guille!! You'll get 'em at RG :D
