Suicide Tennis - ???

1. Each day of play you must pick 1 winner playing an ATP main draw singles match. Of course, the player that you choose, is playing one match scheduled to be played that day (as seen on the order of play).

2. Once you pick someone, you cannot choose them again for the rest of the tournament. So, you don't want to waste your pick on Roddick or Federer to win in early round matches.

3. You must choose one player to win each day. If you forget, are sick, or are unable to reach a computer, it will be treated as a wrong pick, and you will be out of the tournament. You have to submit your own pick, no one else can submit your pick for you.

4. Only in the case of a walkover or a withdrawal of your main pick, each player is allowed to have a back-up pick, selected at the same time as their initial pick. That back-up pick will only be used in the occurance of a walkover or withdrawal, as stated above. Retirements do count as completed matches.

Replacement picks must be identitified like this:
Back-Up Pick - Andy Roddick
Make it clear and try to do it all in one post

NOTE: You can't pick a player from a match scheduled for the previous day and postponed for the next due to rain or darkness! Choose only from the matches posted in the OOP for the concrete day posted here

5. If you wish to participate, just write the word IN in this thread or just post your Day 1 pick in the correct time. New players are ALWAYS welcome!

6. Once the order of play with be released, it will be added IN THIS THREAD, right below, to facilitate your choices. Each day, this post will be updated with its respective order of play.
NOTE: You can't pick a player from a match scheduled for the previous day and postponed for the next due to rain or darkness! Choose only from the matches posted in the OOP here for the concrete day!

7. Picks will be aceptable until before the start of the FIRST match each day

8. The scoring system will be as follows:

Winning Pick on Day 7:
Winning Pick on Day 6:
Winning Pick on Day 5:
Winning Pick on Day 4:
Winning Pick on Day 3:
Winning Pick on Day 2:
Winning Pick on Day 1:

9. This thread is not made to complain about format, points, etc. PMs work very well :)

If the board goes down as it happened before send your picks on my e-mail: ???@???.???

Here's a thread with standard posts which should be used in the Suicide Tournaments from the managers (idea taken from Ville in Tennis Tipping - all credits to him!). Some things about picking during rainy days added, and some other little things corrected in post#1. Please look at it and if you have some additional suggestions - tell me!

If you have some doubts how it works - look at the Wimbledon Suicide Thread by Snowwy HERE (http://www.menstennisforums.com/showthread.php?t=103528)!

It's up to the managers if they want to add pictures, different colors, etc.

Looks good to me. I'll update the Gstaad thread and make any changes before play starts there.

Edit: Gstaad thread now changed so that it is like this one :)

Not at all, but this should spare me the time of counting the 'killers' caused most suicides and the MPV's also (for the facts at the bottom of the rankings - sometimes this place is leaved blank because some of the managers fill only the list of who died when, and not because of who) ;)

But I'm very flattered you like the Entry Award things though :p

Seriously, the Suicide Tennis game is maybe the easiest to run (compared to TT, PAW etc.) and will be great if we have some stats like yours, at least is interesting to see which players are most chosen, who let the most people down & & &.

(and it'll be funny to calculate at the end of the year which players are the best friends / enemies of the suiciders :Q)

We run regularly Suicide Tennis more than 6 months now and it's time to evolve the management of the game, so thanks for your contribution :worship:

Any other good ideas (from everyone) for improvement will be warmly discussed and eventually accepted ;)

Okay, so now you give the merit of the contribution, of the pick distribution to snowwy?

Remember this?

Yes, I thought about that, it will be fun to find out. I think I hate Mirnyi the most, Im never picking him again, he always loses for me.

Actually I never said that's an idea of Snowwy...
I did mention the Wimby thread because there all the necessary elements are shown and is the best for a full example, but you're right, the idea for bringing the stats in MTF ST is yours and you should get the deserved credits! :hatoff:

Same here! But maybe my most deadly love are the french players (assembly) :smash:

I'll do these stats after Shanghai and we'll see :Q
