meanwhile odds are out:

players status this weekend:

Judd is still out for WCE - adelaide has Burton and most likely Goodwin out
Odds about right

Rocca is challenging is 1 match suspension , so far Hawks 1.65 Pies 2.2 . will keep on eye on outcome tonight

There is a reason why Brisbane are underdogs at the Gabba against Port. I'll wait to see what our lineup is before I play that.

If Clark is back in, I'm all over Brisbane.

Found an interesting article in today's Heraldsun regarding WCE records without Judd which currently sits on W/L of 2-3

In Round 9, 2005, the top-placed Eagles lost to 16th-placed Collingwood without Judd.

Last year, again sitting first, West Coast lost to 10th-placed Port Adelaide.

Then last week, the Eagles dropped one against the 14th-placed Saints.

That's an ugly trifecta of losses - against 10th, 14th and 16th.

And the Eagles' two wins without Judd since the start of 2005 also say plenty.

In Round 11 at Subiaco last year, the Eagles found themselves 44 points down eight minutes into the third term against 15th-placed Carlton. The Blues froze and the Eagles got out of jail by 10 points.

And who could forget Round 10 last year? The other great escape at Skilled Stadium.

Without the inspiration and drive of Judd, the Eagles were 54 points down eight minutes into the third quarter. Again, they fought back as the 12th-placed Cats crumbled.

Geelong Cats to beat Sydney Swans @ 1.31

This one has me puzzled. Here we have one of the hottest teams in the league against one of the coldest. The Cats can't stop winning while the Swans continue to disappoint. Sydney travels to Geelong this weekend to take on the Cats at Skilled Stadium. 'The Cattery' is a hard enough ground for most visiting teams to figure out, let alone an out of sorts side that has only played there twice in the last seven years!! (and lost both)

19 August 2006 - Geelong 14.6.90 defeated Sydney 9.9.63
18 July 2004 - Geelong 11.11.77 defeated Sydney 9.8.62

Sure - this might have been before Sydney's 'golden era', but it is indicative of the fate most interstate sides face down in Geelong. Add the fact that spearhead Barry Hall is not playing and you have yet another reason to back the red hot Cats. The forecast is showers and an icy 12 degrees on Saturday afternoon so don't hold your breath for a high-quality, high-scoring game. I expect the Swans to kick the same sort of score they did the last two times they were here (if not less), so it all depends on how the visitors handle Geelong's attacking potency.

Cats ML @ 1.31 and go hard in combos!

Hawks to beat Collingwood 1.62 ($500 to win $310)

I would not read to much into the game between Collingwood against Sydney. Sydney just destroy themselves it that game.

With Rocca out and Buddy set to be back. I just can't see how Collingwood is going to kick goals to win this.

Danny Jacobs and Co. have been doing a great job holding down the defence for the hawks and Hodgey have been instrumental in setting up play from Half Back.

With Buddy back in the forward line up, I feel the Hawks are going to have another day out...

That stat is somewhat misleading because eagles had Cousins whenever Judd was out. Eagles are second rate without both of them. Kerr is incapable of carrying their midfield by himself. However if the eagles have Embley it is a different story.

That game in Geelong last year it was basically Cousins and then Kerr that beat the Cats in the final qtr.

Welcome Chadster and I think you have a winner there. Hawthorn were one of my locks on the weekend.

The totals in which should go over are at the Dome on Friday night - Essendon and Melbourne will put on a score fest as it's Danniher's last game.

Kangaroos V Bulldogs at the G on Sunday afternoon - always play high scoring affairs. A few years ago, it was something like 150 - 145 :haha:

Regarding Brisbane, Mitchell Clark is still out so I was leaning towards the power as Brisbane's forward line is still pretty weak.

B: Joel Macdonald (26), Daniel Merrett (21), Jared Brennan (17)
HB: Jed Adcock (7), Josh Drummond (39), Colm Begley (46)
C: Tim Notting (8), Nigel Lappin (44), Cheynee Stiller (32)
HF: Justin Sherman (11), Jonathan Brown (16), Troy Selwood (28)
F: Michael Rischitelli (35), Joel Patfull (24), Ashley McGrath (9)
Foll: Jamie Charman (19), Simon Black (20), Luke Power (6)
Int: Cameron Wood (31), Albert Proud (34), Richard Hadley (14), Daniel Dzufer (45)

However, with that said, Port don't have a powerful big man forward line, so one of Merrett or Brennan might make the move forward so we have 3 targets up there to stretch the Port's defence instead of the two in Patful and Brown. So we should get up - especially at the Gabba and especially having the week off, I think we'll see a committed more effective Brisbane team.

So I'm taking Brisbane aswell.

Embley is listed to play for West Coast in the 18 and Fletcher is on the extended interchange bench. Stenglein is out.

Whether or not Embley plays - well that's another story, but he's listed in the Eagles team this week.

What are people's views on the Essendon-Melbourne game?

Indoor at the Dome, where the bombers have a good record (4-1, every game scored 95+)this season, im thinking they will be far too good for the Dees. Both teams have been in some good form prior to last round, but i think the Bombers posting those tight wins over quality opponets shows me they have the ability to win, whereas Melbourne have outplayed opponets a number of times this season only to fall close and lose.

The 'Danniher Factor' has seen Melbourne firm during the week, but end of the day Melbourne has only won 2 games all season.

Essendon should be too good, and -5.5pts looks like a nice line.

Agree, with the Hawthorn bet above. Very solid.

Also, Freo should thump Carlton.

As you can see, all 20 games between these 2 teams follow a distinct pattern. The first 3 games were all even scores. Then the next was an odd. Then the next was an Even.

Then if you note carefully, the next time time Odds came around, they came consecutively. Then when the odds came around again in clash number 11, it came once. Then there was a bunch of even scores. Then in games 15 and 16, the score was an odd number again. Then there were 3 evens and we land at the last meeting, which was an odd score.

So history tells us that this game will even as the last game was odd and before that, the last time it was odd, it happened consecutively so this time, it can't happen consecutively or it's against history, which is bad.

Good luck!

Again, we see a handy pattern. One having a close look at that would think that the Odds are the way to go. Well I can tell you, don't go with the odds. This will be even. If you look at the pattern, the next one that will occur is Even, then there will be a bunch of odds.

To start with, there were 4 odds, then an even. Then there was 5 odds and 2 evens. Again, there were 5 odds and there is one even. So the last set which were 5 odds and 2 evens means that if the pattern follows, this should be an even and make the last 7 games between these 2 teams 5 odds and 2 evens. I believe that then the next 4 after this will be odds and then the next will be even, then the pattern shall continue again.

Some great games today.

Doggies over Kanga's, $2.1 1 unit. Even game, Kanga's form too up and down at the moment, and doggies I think have a few more game breakers in their side. Will be close I'm sure.

Hawks over Pies, $1.6 2 units. Should be a great game, both sides playing great football. However lets not carried away with the Pies win over Sydney last week... Swans deadset wouldn't have been able to beat their way out of a wet paper bag that night. Hawks will be an entirely different proposition though. They have really impressed me all year and this will be a good test for them to see how they cope with the Pies young team running at them playing with plenty of flair and confidence.

Wouldn't bet on the Crows game with stolen money... Zero confidence in either, and neither offers any real value at those odds.

If the Eagles don't beat the Crows then I'll sleep with a prostitute without protection.

My sexual health is safe. Good news for all the women out there.

Bold statement Bolar!!!

Easy as piss.

I don't understand why people keep backing the Crows. They're garbage. They're so overrated it's not funny. As I say to a lot of people here in Adelaide - the Power will win a flag again before the Crows do.

New to the forum......lets make some $$$$$$

Hawks to beat Collingwood 1.62 ($500 to win $310)

I would not read to much into the game between Collingwood against Sydney. Sydney just destroy themselves it that game.

With Rocca out and Buddy set to be back. I just can't see how Collingwood is going to kick goals to win this.

Danny Jacobs and Co. have been doing a great job holding down the defence for the hawks and Hodgey have been instrumental in setting up play from Half Back.

With Buddy back in the forward line up, I feel the Hawks are going to have another day out...

GOLD
Thanks Buddy

Just the one total that stood out, taking it b4 it gets pounded more, hoping for another shootout at the Dome!!Also leaning on the Blues +23.5pts over Dockers which is scary, still looking into it more!!!

60 units on St Kilda Saints vs Richmond Tigers Over 188.5pts total @1.93 - This total is very low which is abit of a worry cos i was expecting around 200-205 mark???anyway hopefully it will sail past that, going for a little of spice and taking 221+ @ 7.00 but will cover 201-210 @ 8.50 and 211-220 @ 10.00 aswell just incase!!!

60 units on ShinBoner of the Centry ML 1.87 over Western Pound Puppies - Simply a NO-BRAINER!!!Game is played on Sunday!!

Good luck -other leans on Swans +17.5pts/Blues +23.5pts,it maybe a dogs week in the AFL!!

2-0 :)
