What an entry list!

If I win the euromillions contest, I know where I'll go! :ras:

Jarkko  (though I guess success in Washington would have been more likely)

great list, no clay clowns here

This might be the best MM event of the year.
Just like last year, without me.

edit - of course, Bastad is better, but Bastad has a better timing.

Tournament director gave 6 names and 3 players of them will get WC to MD. The list is:
Łukasz Kubot
Michał Przysiężny
Dawid Olejniczak
Grzegorz Panfil
Marcin Gawron
Błażej Koniusz

If I were tournament director I would give WC's to Przysiezny , Olejniczak and Gawron.

Let's hope Kubot and Panfil won't get WC...

qualies or he will ask for WC ?

He shouldn't have problems with getting a WC, IMO. Winner, semifinalist and defeated by a Pole. Everything speaks for him.

Just wanted to let you know that Jarkko has not withdrawn from Sopot! At least not yet. I've seen on stevegtennis.com that somebody posted that news, maybe that person knows Jarkko personally and knows that he plans to withdraw, but it's not official yet so maybe we shouldn't mourn :p

Jarkko injured his right thigh (muscle tear) in Davis Cup action over the weekend (couldn't play the important 4th rubber) and will be sidelined for 2-3 weeks. He has withdrawn from here and tries to come back in Montreal.

I think that Florian Mayer must do well here. I won´t be satisfied if he won´t get
to the Semifinals. He played like chicken against Starace in Kitzbühel leading 6-4,6-5
serving for the match and lost the match.Though Flori made nice comeback from 1-4 down
in the 2nd set.Florian should be more aggressive and self-confident on decising moments.
I know it´s tough out there nowdays but German players should someone step up.
Tommy Haas is soon history.

Kolya

OUT Hernandez IN Vassallo Arguello

A few players from quallies: Brzezicki (a very very nice guy with a very nice girlfriend, he even made sure my pic was taken right), Maximo Gonzalez, Dracis, Pashanski, Junqueira, Ivo Minar...

Massu is here too, as well as Zabaleta and Vliegen. Probably some others too but sleeping after the trip.

Olej told some other player that he won't get the wc eventually, but we don't know if he was joking or not. It sounded serious, thoug  But if that's true, maybe they want to give it to Gato... We'll see after the draw is made tonight.

Kidnicky - thanks :) I'm sure I'll have a great time :)

I'm pissed off that my Argies are all in the same part of the draw :(
I'm afraid Gato will lose to Darcis :(
13 WC's for the Poles without rankings... that's a joke... but well, any guys to be beaten up are welcome

Brzezicki is becoming more and more popular here. Today a man was asking Emilia and me what's his name because he liked his game very much  (it was after Brzezicki's training session with M. Gonzalez). We were almost shouting his name to the guy, because he was probably a little deaf or maybe Juan Pablo was just too hard for him... It was funny though.
I'm off to bed as there will be almost no sleep from tomorrow on.

wtf, what happened to the king?

We were wondering too

Anyways, a very funny draw ceremony today. Massu and Przysiężny were the lucky ones to be there. Asked about whom does he want to play Przysiężny said: Kubot...
We couldn't help expressing our happines when Kubot was left for Robredo

Massu and his coach/sparingpartner got lost twice today and didn't know how to get back to the hotel. It's their first time in Sopot and on the weekends there are plenty of tourists so it wasn't easy to find the way :P

The matches... lol at all those double bagles and 60 61 results :p

I like the draw though, and I'm only unhappy with Zabaleta - Almagro (thank Emilia) and Lapentti - Andreev...

Doubles draw looks ok, at least Gaudio won't go home after he loses in 3rd round of quallies
