RG 2007... Wish Seb can do his best :) As well as other French players!
Draws will be out on 25 May.

I hope so.
But he recently declared that he had a slight thigh's injury, because of the hard training he did for these last days.
Fortunately he said that was nothing serious, and he'll be there at RG :)
He could easily reach the QF with a level such as the one he played during his Davis Cup's match versus Andreev.

I totaly agree with you.

Do your best Séb ! :)
Hope that his injury is really not serious as he said !!!

BBC are you sure, your not just a little light headed at the prospect of seeing Seb play tennis even if he is losing AGAIN. I saw bits the match on Eurosport, I say bits as I had my head buried in my hands for most of it!

I was scrambling around when Eurosport said they were switching off to the Giro D'Italia (!), trying to find anywhere else it might be shown - then I remembered BBCi (the interactive channel you get when you press the red button on the BBC through digital), and there he was, just about to go on court with someone shoving a microphone in his face and saying Happy Birthday! It went over to the Henman match just after Seb lost his serve at the start of the 3rd set...

Great to actually see him play again, despite the result!

:p

No, they showed all of the match up until the first game of the third set. He fell in the first set when Marcos hit a shot behind him and he turned back to reach it, skidded and went down - poor thing!

Then I watched the rest on the scoreboard through my fingers!!

Seb usually plays the Stella Artois tournament next, but I'm not sure how it works will be able to get a place with his ranking being sooooo low?

OMG! I'd be gutted if he didn't play Stella Artois - but I did look up the official site and he is listed on the players entry list - so I'm assuming he's playing for definite!

Sebastien Grosjean celebrated his 29th birthday in Paris today with Marcos Baghdatis who had just beaten him in the first round of Roland Garros.

Glad to see Seb doesn’t change his traditions and is going to play Queen’s again, that’s a really nice tournament! And even more, if I remember it well, then he’s going to Nottingham and after it’s time for Wimbledon, so quite a good luck for his British supporters ;)

Such a cute pic! :worship:

I would love to see him play at the Stella Artois this year. Last year his matches were not on the main court (the only one they seem to broadcast at all...) and he had to play 2 matches in the same day, which I thought was incredibly unfair (he lost to Philippoussis in the 2nd match). And then, of course, Wimbledon!!

Poor birthday !

Yes, Baghdatis was simply too strong for him (I also like Marco, so it's not that bad).
But Seb didn't play his best tennis... I hope he'll quickly recover his whole talent.
Maybe for Wimbledon ? :)

I am sure if we have anything of interest we will share, but unfortunately there does not seem to be that much interest over here for Seb and so the air time he gets seems to be less and less.

I saw Seb at tv yesterday evening... at the football match France/Ukraine in Paris.
Very cute with his cap
