well, I'm not unhappy about that Verkerk got the rebreak and is back in this 2nd set now... and I hope he goes on to win the 2nd tiebreak, too.

I want to see Kohlschreiber as soon as possible now. Hurry up, Martin! ;)

Kohlschreiber to come now ;)

break Kohlschreiber *2-1

his high bouncing topspin is good for Rochus, Rochus made two errors of those strokes in that last game

Neely
04-28-2004, 01:29 PM
Kohlschreiber got lucky to hold that service game
normally you deserve to lose serve if you're double faulting three times

Kohlschreiber 4-2*

Neely
04-28-2004, 01:44 PM
Kohlschreiber got again lucky to hold his serve, several times over deuce
Kohlschreiber is giving the pace in this match, Rochus can only defend and is 3 meters behind the baseline

Neely
04-28-2004, 01:51 PM
fuck, Kohlschreiber blows the set :banghead:

Rochus 6-5* :fiery:

Kohlschreiber fucked up this match... he had tons of chances and did the worst of it :banghead:

I doubt if he can win this match

Neely
04-28-2004, 02:11 PM
Kohlschreiber was leading 3-2 in the breaker and had a high ball at the net he should have smashed it away, instead of that he tried a dropshot and Rochus got the ball

it was the WORST decision I have seen this whole week, even a 8 year old girl could have smashed this easy ball away, but he tried a dropshot

that mistake cost him the match! :banghead: :banghead:

Neely

tons of mishits on the backhand, his serve sucks, break Rochus

Kohlschreiber is a mental midget, and in tight situations he plays like a junior in his first pro match.
I don't expect much from him in the future.

*5-2 C'mon Oli! hold serve!!!!

Neely

7-6 6-2 for Rochus

Kohlschreiber mentally collapsed after fucking up the 1st set
Rochus is nothing special, he just lived by the mistakes of Kohlschreiber who had plenty of them in the 2nd set

that was a big chance for Kohlschreiber if he had won that fucking tiebreak :banghead: :banghead: :retard:

Kohlschreiber gifted Rochus

Kohlschreiber gifted Rochus
did you see that catastrophe ball in the tiebreak at 3-2?
instead of 4-2 he makes it 3-3 with that silly dropshot
cost him the match I would say :banghead: :banghead:

Bilbo

Neely

...

Waske gets ripped by Spadea right now, but honestly, I didn't expect something else

Neely
04-28-2004, 03:16 PM
@Bilbo
ja genau, den Ball hätte ich noch versenkt und das will was heißen, denn so oft nehm ich keinen Tennisschläger in die Hand ;)
einfach pure Dummheit :banghead:

Spadea just cancelled 0-40 again and won the game

4:4 in the third set now, I'm really positively surprised that Waske can manage to stay in match

Waske seems to be holding with ease. I remember he was 4-0 down in the 1st and I expected Spadea to kill him.

Neely
04-28-2004, 05:01 PM
Waske's serve it not a bad one, but I would have never expected him to hang in with Spadea.
Waske will win some matches with the grass season to come, his best best surface.

Thanks for the info, looks like we have a tiebreaker on our hands.

Neely
04-28-2004, 05:16 PM
wow, Waske beats Spadea... a very unexpected win I would say!

but I'm glad for Waske though :)

I have no clue how he did it, but the score says he won. :clap2:

Bilbo

He managed what Kohlschreiber missed. He fighted back and won.

Neely
04-28-2004, 05:19 PM
well, fighting back against Spadea is not that easy. Spadea is a fighter himself and "normally" doesn't surrender until the last point.

:bounce: Waske

Neely

the Centercourt looks to be turning more and more into a hardcourt... I was there yesterday and there's only a very thin layer of clay on it and they didn't water it the whole day... I'm sure that was for Waske's favor also, Tommy should like it too.

but still, it's a very surprising win for Waske!

How about that for a comeback from Extra Special K? Last year he was losing to the likes of Fernando Meligeni, now he's back with consecutive quality wins over the X-Man and the Sarge. I hope the winner of him and Verkerk takes the tournament.

Neely
04-28-2004, 07:02 PM
I hope the winner of him and Verkerk takes the tournament.
are you serious? never!!! Kratochvil has about ZERO chance to win this tournament and Verkerk was a very mighty force on serve today (between 22 and 25 aces if I remember right) but still his match and his allround play didn't impress me much. Verkerk's half looks good to reach the final, but as long as Haas is still in the tournament, I can't see him winning it all.

But at least it's good to see Verkerk back winning two matches in a row. I like his play and I was not happy about his shocking defeat to Ljubcic last week in Monaco or the rough year he played so far :banghead:

Sjengster
04-28-2004, 07:24 PM
Note: I did say HOPE, not BELIEVE. They are both in the weaker half of the draw, so there's a chance for a final. Isn't is Jolly Ollie and Waske in the other QF in that half?

Neely
04-28-2004, 07:39 PM
ah yes, my bad... I have overseen and misread your "hope"... sorry Sjengster, I took you much too serious on your thoughts
