So far we have:

Former Champion Goran Ivanisevic has set his sights on playing at this year's Wimbledon Championships after accepting a wild card into the Stella Artois Championships at Queen's Club, London.

1 player!
but i guess tim, greg, andy, roger etc etc will commit sooner the time

Uhm, basically players with a certain ranking are obliged to play this tournament. There is no commitment involved :) Goran will get a wildcard, and so will a couple of Brits. Then there are some qualifiers who can enter the tournament too. Federer, Henman, Rusedski, Roddick and basically everyone in the Top 90 (someone who knows the exact numbers, please fill me in ;)) will play. They must play, unless they are injured.

The initial cut is at spot 104 on the rankings after Rome.
(128 players, from which 8 WC's, 16 qualies).

Withdrawing players from that list (like Nadal, Kafelnikov is no longer top 104) will allow the number 105, 106 in ... etc.
That's the acceptancelist for Wimbledon.

Take in consideration players who have protected ranking, IE Tommy Haas.

Ah, Goran!!, What a player- I guess no body had such a drama filled Wimbly career. Even the great Sampras, I can say. Nothing came to him without any drama.

Goran sad this year's Wimbledon is his last tournament! He's retiring!

The way he plays now, first round will probably be his last match! :o

Maybe he can win a match or two if he draws a claycourter but with no matches under his belt i just don't see him winning 4 or 5 set matches.

it would have to be a pretty lousy clay courter. he hasnt done anything lately, i dont see him going past the 1st round at all

Ah, I hope Goran does well in his last tournament.

And here is a quote from him...

My serve is not as good as it used to be. Other guys hit much harder. Now I am ideal for women's tennis. Serena, Venus and me, what a fight that would be!

I wonder how Serena reacted to that?!@

Finally found some Spanish article that said Juanqui will be at Wimby!! He's training and is feeling a lot better and is dying to play a match! That's a good sign. Today is the first time he didn't feel any pain in his ribs.

VAMOS, JUANQUI!!
