Great comeback from Moya, all these young guns (except for Nole) seem to be very unstable still. Disappointed for Tomas. :(

Carlos really is a final set tiebraker specialist, just unbeliveable.
He lost 1 and won about 20 so far, does anyone have more accurate stats, please? :) Voo de Mar?

Now he should beat Blake (or Clement), both great claycourters :rolls:, and he is in QF :rocker:

steady, steady! Guten Abend every1 :hatoff:

it just seems that Hamburg is not the 'Lieblings' tournament of Tomas Berdych and that's all: 2005 it was a first-round loss to Roger Federer, 2006 another first-round loss to Florent Serra. I only see the positive part of the story i.e. Berdych entered the 2006 TMS Hamburg ATP # 18, and in this year 2007 he was ranked ATP # 12, was seeded 10 and made Round 2 ... about that match oh well nothing unsettling, at least on me and no disgrace losing a third-set in a tie break.

Please keep in mind, Berdych goes step by step, improving his year-end ATP every year since he is a pro. -drum roll, please!

Tschüssssssss :wavey:

wow this result made me so happy. i saw it on livescore and as a scrolled down i first saw 6, 5, 6 for Berdych and i kind of assumed Carlos had lost but i was delighted to see he pulled it out.

Now the next big step is beating Blake. If he's going to do it anywhere it should be here. Really needs to make this step. It could spark on last resurgance. The game is still there if he stays healthy.

oh yeah and he's now going to have to be very unlucky to miss a seeding for Roland Garros :bounce:

Good win for Carlos, now ge gets Blake next. Tomas had a very good clay season so far, apart from the match against Volandri.
