Expected, but Serra has been playing well lately. Hemust have been tired from qualies and 3 setter yesterday... good win for Ljubicic.

Hopefully Ivan does not draw Andreev 1st round at RG. Those 450 points loom large now.

Yeah luckily there arent many threats this year that are not ranked. Andreev is one of the few so hopefully he stays away from Ivan. Volandri for some reason doesnt concern me that much.

There are always dangerous floaters in Paris, last year Ivan was serving excellently throughout the tournament. He will need those easy points again this year, I don't see him making the semis, but winning some rounds is entirely possible with some luck.

Ivan will try to make up the 450, with this week, next week at and RG. he will be in good shape if he is around 2100-2200 after RG.

Ljubicic may never leave the top 10, with another win here and solid tourny next week, and couple wins a RG, he will stay...and after RG its smooth sealing for Ljubo, only gainings PTS at big events.

Roddick got bagelled by Chela and only managed 3 games the whole match. Does that mean it wont be too long till he is out of the top 100? Sure looks like it.:retard:

You really think he'll beat Ferrer? A couple of wins at RG and he'll still drop 400 points. He'll need another dream draw like he had last year to make the 2nd week.

Don't know what Roddick has to do with it. Does he have 450 clay points to defend? Stupid comparison. Robredo is the one in a similar situation and he felt the pressure. Ljubicic also felt the pressure last year when he had all those indoor points to defend in Madrid and Paris. He failed to defend any of them.

Could it because he was sick and didnt even play Paris because of that?

.

if he plays like he did the today in the 2nd and 3rd, yes. Ferrer is not Nadal
and like i said with win over Ferrer and next week should be a easy final or a W and since Robredo lost 500pts Ivan is the 7th seed, should get a good draw and make it to 4th or QF. after RG if he stays in the 2000-2200 range, he is set for 3rd staight top 10 finish.

ohh and about Paris, he almost died the week before from a virus :)

I admire your optimism, mate. He basically has to reach the QF of RG to stay above 2000 points. Either he'll need a very good draw or he'll have to start beating top 30 players on clay, which he didn't have to do last year.

well there is not much threat behind him with Murray done and Haas on clay  even if doesnt stay above 2000 after RG, which to me seems impossible, he can gain alot of pts with Wimbledon, 2 USA AMS' ,USO, Madrid and Paris. to me it doesnt matter where you're ranked in mid may, its how you finish and i am 100% sure he will finish in the top 10.

Forget Murray and Haas, it's Berdych and Gasquet you need to worry about. Both of them will gain a lot of points here in Hamburg and are well poised to overtake Ljubicic after RG. I seriously doubt Ljubicic will be gaining many points at Wimbledon. If he stays in the top 10 it will be because of indoor results.

The truth is if Ljubicic doesn't go out of Top 10 after RG, he won't go until the end of the year most likely.

He has no points to defend in both Madrid and Paris and even haters agree that he is a major force indoors...

And if he suddenly discovers how to play on grass, he may even have a secured spot for Shanghai...
