Federer practicing with Allegro

Well, they were having a practice session (from 5 to 7 pm) today. I was about to leave after the Grosjean match, but then noticed all those ppl around the M3 court.
Federer was pretty relaxed and joking around with his girlfriend. Mirka, the ball girl, was moving around one of the chairs before sitting on it, and then moving it around again.

I didn't know that he talked to Allegro in french (thought up to now that it was swiss german).

Of course there were 2-3 security guys, and one of those picked up a ball. Federer asked him to give him the ball by first saying "thanks", then "danke", but the guy in black didn't get it right away. It was pretty funny. Good mood on and off the court.

At 5:45 it started to rain, but it was only light rain, so it didn't bother them that much.

I also saw Waske/Kohlmann and DC captain Kuehnen.

Some kid made noise and Waske turned around (everybody expecting an angry reaction), but then just said: "Yeah, right you are." :)

I'll post the photos tomorrow since I currently can't access the photos with my PC (missing the necessary cable), but I thought that maybe some ppl would be interested

Sounds good!

You must be happy Hamburg has a quality field this year and it looks like Nadal will be joining you after all!

Yeah, looks like Roddick might be the only one of the Top 10 missing. :yeah:
And I didn't expect Hewitt to play either.

I am not sure if I'll have the time to go tomorrow, but I am certainly very tempted to. :) Maybe I'll just have to get the week ticket after all, since it costs less than 5 or 6 normal day tickets, I think.

So there's no signs of him dumping Mirka? Is this meant to be good news or what that federer appears happy?

Yves is a native French speaker and he struggles speaking Schriftdeutsch (let alone Swiss German)

Fed in a good mood on those last two pics. I especially like the last one where he is joking around with his gf. Unfortunately that one turned out like crap.

It's quite an odd little venue isn't it - from the matches I watched today and last year, it looks like Court M1 is built practically underneath the stands of the center court.

Yeah, M1 is directly behind/under the "wings" of the Center Court.

It does look like it, doesn't it? :) But don't worry. I didn't have to climb a latter to make those photos. :)

Some nice shots of Allegro.

As you can see, I only made one photo when standing on the left side of the court (or in other words: the others turned out horrible). The rest is from the right side, and you simply couldn't see Allegro from there due to the angle and stands being in the way. But I guarantee that he was there. ;)

seriously Mirka follows Roger a bit too much lol it makes you feel sick hey. I know she's the manager that fold and organizes Roger's undies etc for him but still, she use to be a tennis player.

If he can dump somebody like Roche no matter how bad he felt about it, there's hope yet.:)

I totally get what you're saying...I mean she is EVERYWHERE with him. Doesn't she have her own life too? It's important that he have his free time at practice with his friends to just relax and play...why aren't there ever any pictures with her and her girlfriends shopping or doing normal things. Is Roger her complete life? That makes for some serious co-dependency which is NEVER a good thing.

 Am I the only person who doesn't think Mirka is going anywhere? They have been going out since the Sydney Olympics (2000) back even before Fed beat Sampras at Wimbledon. Obviously they love each other very much and Mirka is part of Roger's success.

I can see where you're coming from. I don't think any of us can say for sure. I do hope that Mirka does have some of her own girlfriends though. Every woman should have a close group of girlfriends to hang out with and be girly with. As much as I :hearts: Roger, I bet he can get annoying sometimes, like all men can be. That's what girl's night outs are for: To have the occasional fun without the sometimes annoying boyfriend for a few hours.

That's the view from one of the highest placed seats. Can't really recommend that. Of course you get more of the atmosphere if you're sitting lower, nearer to the court.

Mirka is his coach.

The end of Federer is here. With Mirka as his coach he won't win another tourny.

I don't really care who anyone spends their time with...I was just stating that for most relationships, too much time together is not ideal. I have come to see that they are everywhere together and while I think that is great that he has someone to share those amazing moments with, I also think it's important that the two of them have their own lives. I think practices before important tournaments should be left to him and his player friends. She doesn't need to be there for that. She should dedicate that time to doing her own things. Long lunches with family or friends or taking in some culture. She basically is on the court sitting, at practices sitting, in the plane sitting, in the car sitting...that doesn't sound like a well rounded life to me. Not jealous or anything, just stating what I think is accurate. I love how all these "Mirka" lovers get so defensive at the thought of a flaw with her.

What is this strange phenomenon, that people start blaming a player's girlfriend - or starts discussing about their lives together - as soon as said player isn't doing very well?

Quit the speculating, let them live their own lives, and be happy. They sure know what works best for them after having been in a steady relationship for seven years.
