Strong words. Right now at least on clay he's probably right.

where are the times someone could serve and volley someone of the court who was staying 10 meter behind the baseline :)

Anyone watch the Rafa-Novak match? I loved the commentators making stabs at McEnroe.

"That's why I've loved commentary for the past 15 years - it's a whole lot easier than playing!"

That's a great line from Mac!

"Someone will look at the result and think, '6-2 6-3, it wasn't much of a match', but the scary thing is that Djokovic played well."

My favorite quote. That pretty much summarizes Rafa's actual form. When you lose 6-2 and 6-3 and you have the feeling you played a good match, then you have in front of you some special player.

WOW where did you learn to be as funny as that? did you ask your grandmother for some of her best jokes?

"The problem with Nadal is , he always wants to win - even the choice who will start the match." - Mariano Puerta

that makes him sound like even more of a dick.

Of course he will. Probably not today though. Gonzo's looking pretty tough right now against Volandri, but probably not tomorrow either.

The funniest thing about it to me is that when he does, the people who hate him will be so much more excited about it than the people who love him will be disappointed.

I don't think he is gonna be losing anytime this clay season. Maybe next year. He is too good right now. The real question is who will get atleast a set off him first :p ;)

I felt the same way as McEnroe right after Novak match. He (Nole) did some great things, didn't make nearly as many errors as Fed did vs. Volandri - and still lost by a considerable margin. Didn't look as if he had any chance in hell to actually win a set, let alone a match. And Nole does seem to me as someone who matches well vs. Nadal, because of his strong BH, good nerves and a lot of patience in his high percentage play. So if Nole doesn't even come close, who can beat him? I can't think of a name, other than maybe Gonzo, if he's feeling like 110% fit and doesn't miss a single shot like he did vs. Haas in AO.

Nadal is simply born for playing on clay.
he probably would prefer playing football on clay. just kidding.

Stop quoting McEnroe. He's annoying and irrelevant.

 You're right. He has tendancy to change his mind back and forth from month and month. And the less said about the constant proposals he comes up with to 'improve' tennis the better :)

he doesn't look good at all though today against Davydenko, his serve aren't good, his return not as good as before, and the more the match goes on, the worse he looks, really! I don't know if he's sick but he doesn't look like himself at all

My thoughts exactly.
McEnroe was a great player, and I fully respect him, but he should stop with stating the obvious every time.

Davydenko just won the 2nd set, after wasting 4 or 5 set points and Nadal wasted his chance when he served for the match!

And yet I'm sure you are quite happy to keep quoting your opinion.

Why shouldn't he?

He's also a legend.
