Fed's forehand is far more consistant and has way more varity.

Fena hits great FH DTL's, but as demonstrated by the AO final, cross-court, Federer owns that department, and really wasn't troubled in the FH to FH exchanges.

2 brilliant shots in their own right mind... dont get me wrong, Fena is certainly up their with the best forehands.

Don't bother answering this crap. Being ignored is what these pricks need. After all, Just Caue seemed to fade away when his threads weren't getting that much of attention.

There are at least 2 people with better forehands than him right now, Federer and Nadal.

Rubbish. Everyone knows that the forehand of Oscar Hernandez is far superior. How could it not be with a backswing scratches his left abdomen?

Probably the best inside out FH ever. Certainly the best I've seen. However, overall I would pick several players over Gonzo.

nolop, stop compadre... Gonzo has an incredible fh, but isnt the best of all time

see Fed fh for example... maybe Sampras too, just fantastic...

In terms of Forehand Roger Federer even rated and said himself that some of the best forehands on tour belongs to lower ranked players like Sebastien Grosjean etc... He did list Fernando as well though.

But Roger's forehand hit the record 192k once and his forehand have so much variety and technique. His rotation is by far the best i've seen ever. Federer's forehand is much much better

The best forehand comes from the Czech Republic: Radek Stepanek aka the clay king.

You cant have the best FH of all time, when one match he hits like 30winners and 1UE and the next 3winners and like 45 UE

Nadal has the best forehand for clay of ALL TIME. This alone puts him ahead of Gonzo in terms of forehand.

You're all wrong. The best forehand of all time belongs to Stefan Edberg :p

Volandri, Ivo, Gilbert, Jay Berger, Xristos....those are where the REAL FH's.

Come on people, people. Bjorkman is clearly the best, I only have a slight reservation for Xristos since I have not seen his forehand. However, I doubt it would be as penetrating as Jonas's forehand.

When he is on, it is one of the best.

When he is off, it is one of the worst.

He often intermixes best with worst in one match :clap2:

The best FH?

He can't even hit it cross court.

05-10-2007, 09:23 AM
Gonzalez' forehand is far more powerful and is better down the line. It has a tendency to go wide in crosscourt exchanges, but he never completely shanks them like Federer can. They can both generate topspin, Fernando perhaps a bit more. Federer's is less explosive but more consistent.

I find Gonzalez' more impressive just because of the extra power.

Berasategui, Sampras, Edberg, Federer...

Feña's FH is incredibly powerful, but it becomes useless against players who have more variety to their game, it's always flat and hard, never with effect, he misses a lot of crosscourt FHs
