Roddick vs. GaudioFumus 05-08-2007, 08:44 PM Um, I was going to call it the battle of the one slam wonders then I remembered that Roddick has been in 3 slam finals and has won numerous titles on every surface... haha... Johnny Groove 05-08-2007, 08:45 PM um, sure hes done all that, but at the end of the day, hes won the same # of slams as Gaudio. Fumus 05-08-2007, 08:46 PM um, sure hes done all that, but at the end of the day, hes won the same # of slams as Gaudio. Well he's not a wonder...lol, just a one slam guy. :) ChinoRios4Ever 05-08-2007, 08:47 PM battle of one slams wonders.... hard to predict, but tennis will win for sure Spris 05-08-2007, 08:49 PM http://www.studentsoftheworld.info/sites/animals/img/4610_petting-zoo2.jpg El Gato in two :rocker2: scarecrows 05-08-2007, 08:50 PM if Roddick is fit he wins Fumus 05-08-2007, 08:50 PM Gaudio clearly is a wonder, just like ToJo...right place right time playing out of his mind...got lucky in a final. Roddick has been a contender for many years, no one would consider it a wonder if he won another slam. Anyywwways....besides that little side debate. I'll take Roddick in 2. TMJordan 05-08-2007, 08:51 PM Roddick will win in 2 easy sets. Jim Courier 05-08-2007, 08:52 PM Roddick should normally have the advantage on the one clay he does well on, but Gaudio will want to give it a last honest try. Gaudio to win, it would be a shame if it went any other way. Johnny Groove 05-08-2007, 08:52 PM Expect a strange scoreline. Some combination of tiebreaks and 6-0/6-1 sets both ways  I'd be surprised if its something like 6-4, 7-5, or something normal realtin 05-08-2007, 08:58 PM Well he's not a wonder...lol, just a one slam guy. :) Roddick in two... scarecrows 05-08-2007, 09:04 PM if Roddick is fit he wins Sunset of Age 05-08-2007, 09:08 PM http://www.studentsoftheworld.info/sites/animals/img/4610_petting-zoo2.jpg El Gato in two :rocker2: Awww... cute piccie! I hope this will be a good match. I think Gaudio will win... in three. Frooty_Bazooty 05-08-2007, 09:12 PM http://www.studentsoftheworld.info/sites/animals/img/4610_petting-zoo2.jpg El Gato in two :rocker2:  musefanatic 05-08-2007, 09:15 PM Aww ace piccie :p i think roddick, probably a bagel in there cos there usually is when Gaudio's involved  guga2120 05-08-2007, 09:15 PM battle of one slams wonders.... yeah, and im not sure how healthy either are, but i guess Gaudio. Deboogle!. 05-08-2007, 09:15 PM if Roddick is fit he winsHe says he's fit now, but he had what sounded to be a pretty bad virus about 10 days ago. But he should be fine from that too Anyway I am looking forward to sleeping through it :D Black Adam 05-08-2007, 09:19 PM Andy has won Miami so he is a 2 time slam winner ;) Any in 2 sets. Burrow 05-08-2007, 09:30 PM if Roddick is fit he wins as youv said twice now, although I doubt it. Gaudio will win. Kitty de Sade 05-08-2007, 09:30 PM Aww ace piccie :p i think roddick, probably a bagel in there cos there usually is when Gaudio's involved  If bagels are on the menu, then I'd like two in Gato's favor thank you. :) TMJordan 05-08-2007, 09:33 PM If bagels are on the menu, then I'd like two in Gato's favor thank you. :) I'm sorry but "El Gato" only recieves bagels, he wont dish them out. JMG 05-08-2007, 10:07 PM Gaudio clearly is a wonder, just like ToJo. Gaudio's slam was expected by me, while ToJo was a real one slam wonder. So it doesn't make sense to compare those two. Tomy 05-08-2007, 10:14 PM Gaudio's slam was expected by me, while ToJo was a real one slam wonder. So it doesn't make sense to compare those two. Expected??? After losing the first two sets on the final against the favorite player? After beating an injured Nalbandian on the SFs while the world thought it would be the other way? Wow... you're a guru... Kolya 05-08-2007, 10:20 PM Gaudio. doris_hdz 05-08-2007, 10:38 PM Gaston Gaudio Fergie 05-08-2007, 10:40 PM Vamos Gaston! :rocker2: Alonsofz 05-08-2007, 10:40 PM Vamos Gatoooo!! :rocker2: SBruguera 05-08-2007, 10:43 PM Mmmm, this is very tied. http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/2224/gripeaviargatopato8ql.jpg http://www.geocities.com/mrcrowlee/FSFfiles/cat_duck.jpg JMG 05-08-2007, 10:43 PM Expected??? I mean before the tournament he was one of the favourites for me, while Johansson wasn't. Kitty de Sade 05-08-2007, 10:44 PM ^^^ @ that pic! :haha: :yeah: Grinder 05-08-2007, 11:02 PM Andy will fuck this flash in the pan's day up. :rocker2: *Viva Chile* 05-09-2007, 02:40 AM This is a match that I need to see for the :spit: and :haha: factor... but I can't (stupid intern program :ras: ) Roddick could win this (all we know that Rome is a fake red clay or a red hardcourt  ) but clay is clay after all and Gaston should win. Sofyaxo 05-09-2007, 02:43 AM Three sets of awesomeness. It should be a pretty :rolls: match marcosz1985 05-09-2007, 02:51 AM gaudio will win in two GlennMirnyi 05-09-2007, 03:07 AM Hope Gato wins. rousea 05-09-2007, 05:23 AM Roddick in two as long as he can stand upright. Seriously, Roddick beat Berdych earlier this year on clay and Gaudio is nowhere near the talent level of the Bird Man right now. What makes you think Gaudio can even win a set? VolandriFan 05-09-2007, 07:14 AM Gaston of course. And Andy's just as much of a one slam wonder as Gaston is. Gaston has won 8 titles on clay, been top 5 and established himself as one of the best claycourters, so he's hardly a wonder either. You can't use the excuse that Andy is a better all surface player, because Gaston wouldn't still be a one slam wonder if he won RG again anyway. Action Jackson 05-09-2007, 07:53 AM Roddick and he will lose only 1 game. VolandriFan 05-09-2007, 08:18 AM Roddick and he will lose only 1 game. May I ask why you are the Gaston Gaudio forum umpire when you don't support him/believe in him? It's not a dig at you or anything, I'm just curious. Action Jackson 05-09-2007, 08:25 AM May I ask why you are the Gaston Gaudio forum umpire when you don't support him/believe in him? It's not a dig at you or anything, I'm just curious. Why say it's not a dig. then? Just ask the question. As for my answer, context is important. I am not going to be a silly fanboy, cause I like someone. jazar 05-09-2007, 08:35 AM if gaudio doesnt collapse mentally as he usually does, then he willw in in 3 VolandriFan 05-09-2007, 08:39 AM Why say it's not a dig. then? Just ask the question. As for my answer, context is important. I am not going to be a silly fanboy, cause I like someone. Ok, so you are a fan. A fan striving to be a realist. Well I can safely say that Gaston only winning one game is not a realistic prediction. His form has been very off of late, but he still took a set off Djokovic and beat Fish, and on clay, I don't see Roddick scoring a bagel and a breadstick against Gaudio. Especially given his blatant lack of match play. It's almost as if you go out of your way to sound unbiased. stebs 05-09-2007, 08:42 AM There is no score that would surprise me, for either player. Do, I really have to explain it you? You think I haven't see any of his matches or something? You almost sound serious. VolandriFan 05-09-2007, 08:57 AM Well if I didn't "get the context" of your post the first time I read it, do you think I'm going to understand it the second time? The thread starter asked a question, and you answered that question. What other context is there to get? VolandriFan 05-09-2007, 09:06 AM OH! Now I get it! That thing that is never accurately portrayed on a message board because tone of voice (the key element to sarcasm) cannot be typed. :) Andre♥ 05-09-2007, 09:10 AM It's clay, so Roddick will only win if: 1. The opponent tanks 2. The opponent is injured 3. The opponent sucks yomike 05-09-2007, 09:27 AM Do not shame your pedigree Gaston, beat this clayhack. Loftra 05-09-2007, 09:34 AM It's clay, so Roddick will only win if: 1. The opponent tanks 2. The opponent is injured 3. So my bet goes to Gaudio in 3 :rocker: laure xxx 05-09-2007, 12:25 PM I'm sorry but "El Gato" only recieves bagels, he wont dish them out.
