Sam needs one withdrawal ... eh, plenty of time for someone to reconsider. (OTOH, maybe qualies would be good for the boy. Not sure he's played an ATP match on grass.)

He played Newport last year, reached the 2R, with a 5-7 2-6 loss to Murray.

He is playing this week at a challenger in Great Britain on grass.

So who is the candidate for that 3rd WC?

 Hmmm, seems that Sam knows that he's not having to do qualies for Gerry Webber. Right? Wonder who's withdrawn here?

 Hmmm, seems that Sam knows that he's not having to do qualies for Gerry Webber. Right? Wonder who's withdrawn here?No one has withdrawn, but Andreev is the only player left at Roland Garros who is a special exempt candidate (if he reaches the final, or a rain-delayed Saturday semifinal). Andreev has already accepted a wild card to Queen's Club so that's where he would take the special exempt. The others (in Halle & QC) will be cleared.

So who is the candidate for that 3rd WC?

I know, it will not be Rainer (makes me very angry:mad: ). I gues the third one could go Pavel because he is playing Bundesliga for Halle.

kiwi10is

and Pavel will play doubles with Alex Waske so they will try to keep him in Halle

JMG
06-05-2007, 07:39 PM
Zverev is the man who should get one. :(

Waske  Didn't he play crap in Halle often enough? Yes, Nadal handed him the win, but in the other years he proved that he doesn't deserve a wildcard.

Michael Berrer should have Wild Card to Halle. He is a great grass player
with his powerfull serves and great volleys.
If they give it to Schuettler I´ll be angry as hell!

why would pavel go elsewhere anyways? he lives in brockhagen, which is like 1 min away from gerry weber stadium. he could come by bike every day.

What makes me think, though, is that the article has yesterday's date.

Sucks for Alex. Thanks to his serve he had a decent chance to win 1-2 matches on grass.

It's out.

http://www.gerryweber-open.de/de/ergebnisse/singles-draw.html

And it sucks! :( I prayed, that Kiefer would play neither against Federer nor Berdych, and what did he get? Berdych! :(
Zverev gets a Qualifier and Kohlmann plays against Mayer. A lot easier.

Federer's draw isn't that bad actually compared to last year, just needs to avoid nalbandian and berdych, who aren't certain to meet him.
