wow i didn't see this coming... i had no idea how good this other guy was getting. he's in the QF recently at monte carlo, and also QF in munich last year, so he's defending points. and of course he's a local.
hmmm, the only reason I can think of is the money and the points?
that honestly wasn't what i was chuckling about lol.. i thought it's like london and halle, or sydney and auckland, small tournaments where for whatever reasons one field tends to be stronger than the other, no matter what they're paying. (officially). so 'lesser' players know which one to sign up to for better chances.

Not a surprise, Kohlschreiber is on fire these last weeks, he is playing in front of a home crowd, and clay isn't Arnaud's favourite surface...The only thing that surprises me is that some of you are shocked by this result :confused:

personally, i am not shocked, just disappointed at him losing all the time.

As for Kohlschreiber. Well, I've seen a few articles, sounds like a better and more aggressive baseline game and some luck at the important points made his match. Nothing surprising? Perhaps, but if it's the level Arnaud is going to show on clay this year then it's quite disappointing.
Btw, Arnaud was indeed playing in orange that match.

And I don't get this story with Rome too... If there is something wrong and he doesn't want to play what's the reason to participate in doubles then, just not to leave Micka alone? But for now it's more like we can only compete who'll ask more questions...
