I would say apart from Federer, Nadal and Hewitt the others matches you could toss a coin, could go either way

Need to look into them all more before siding on a play

Marcos Baghdatis over Andy Murray @ $2.67

Source: Pinnacle Sports
Stake: 0.20 Units

Analysis: Marcos Baghdatis finds himself up against the hometown hero, Andy Murray, in his 4th round encounter after overcoming an inspired Sebastian Grosjean in his third round matchup. Although having faced off on two occasions prior to this meeting the pair have yet to oppose each other at ATP level. Both Murray and Baghdatis were junior number ones in past years and that is where their previous encounters took place (both of which Baghdatis won) ...

Good luck lads

I've tapped in a couple of times this week...some nice picks and analysis from everyone :yeah: I agree with Prabu...more contributions would be nice!

I've been trying out Anders' "dog" strategy this week...won a couple of bets...the best being Murray over Roddick @ 3.25...slightly down though overall on that strategy. Well up on the tourney though, courtesy of wins from Bracciali and Mirnyi, to name a few. The progressive straking plan is working well...lucky I didn't hit Ljubo x Gonzo as planned yesterday!

As for Monday...I agree with Breaker...Baggy is value is here and has a good chance of winning. My only qualms with him are that he has yet to play on Centre Court and he is struggling with injuries...not to mention the fact he isn't great on grass anyway. Murray faces more pressure now that England are out of the World Cup...I'll take 2.62 offered on Baggy.

Also worth backing is Djokovic @ 3.00 over Ancic.

Will probably play a normal single on Dima to beat Jarkko...I also think Bjorkman is to be favoured over Mirnyi (@ 1.83) but the fact that they are also doubles partners and great friends puts me off a little. Verdasco over Stepanek may also be worth some coin 2.10...Verdasco is a good grass player and possesses the passing shots necessary to frustrate Sexy....Sexy is also at his furthest ever point in a GS...and look how much trouble it took him to get this far! :tape:

Good luck everyone :wavey:

Murray @1.6

Murray will make Baggy run with dropshot+lob combos.

Murray to beat Baghdatis 3 sets to 2 @6 (Willhill)
Ancic to beat Djokovic 3 sets to 1 @3.5 (Willhill)

I'm doing a double (6*3.5) plus a single on Murray 3-2 (6)

These bets might seem risky but are definitely worth a shot.

My first post in this forum:

Bjorkman over Mirnyi @2.10 (Pinnacle)

H2h between these two is 9-1 in Bjorkman's favour. That is a strong trend, and I see no reason to assume Mirnyi would reverse it tomorrow. If you do see one, I'm ready to listen, just don't tell me again Bjorkman is too old, too tired etc. I've been hearing that stuff since Nottingham started, now Bjorkman is at 7-1.

Baghdatis over Murray @2.51 (Pinnacle)

Mostly my gut feeling. Both are young players with a short match record so statistics are of limited use IMO. It's just my impression that Murray tends to loose once people (and bookies) start to really expect him to win. It's been that way in Nottingham when he lost to Seppi after defeating Tursunov and Mirnyi, and I've got a hunch it's going to be the same tomorrow.

Welcome Tom

Personally I can't disagree with your assessment either - add to that the way Bjorki dismantled Bracciali's serve last round would suggest he has recaptured some of that wicked returning skills he had in the late 90's which made him arguably one of the best returners in the world at the time

Also agree with you Murray assessment - personally I never back him as a favourite and believe the odds are an overrecaction to his win against Roddick. He probably still goes into the match as favourite but he does not have the matchup advantage he did with Roddick, Baghdatis WILL dominate him from the back.

I'm still wondering about Murray's stamina, as his only match that has gone past 3 sets was split between two days. At the French, he was absolutely spent after going up 2-1 on Monfils and got killed the last two sets. I don't see him beating Marcos in straight and Marcos is solid from the ground so his fitness will come into question. Baghdatis looks like a solid underdog play. Jez, I know that Wimbledon Centre Court is something special, but Marcos seems to love the spotlight and sure handled it well being the biggest story at the Australian.

Mirnyi @ $1.81 - Quality player who I think will get over Bjorkman. I am disagreeing with all when I place this bet but I believe Mirnyi will reverse the trend. Mirnyi will reach the Semi's.

Nieminen @ $2.55 - Dmitry was lucky to get over Ljubo. Ljubo should have won that match. Nieminen has more class and should get up.

Baghdatis over Murray #2.73
Actully, i think the longer game the more chance for Marcos

Nieminen over Tursunov #2.75
Nieminen with his great return skills against Dima, who apart from big serve has choker mentality as well

Labadze. Not sure but definitely playing against lefty its not what Nadal like the best

Bjorkman -Mirnyi
They are best friends. They even share room together if they play the same tournament. The best double pair in the world. Imo - somebody can win here in straight sets :p, but have no idea - who.
