Belgian tournaments?

I think Belgium really needs to have an own ATP- tournament or at least a descent challenger where we can see our best men playing... Don't you guys think so?

I mean, this generation might be a bit overshadowed by our girls, but they're really good! It's a shame we don't get to see them in our own country!
Holland has a few tournaments, so why wouldn't Belgium be able to have one?!
Some time ago I read that Bob Verbeeck (from the Diamond games) was thinking about organizing an ATP-event in Belgium too, but I haven't heard anything about that lately...

They should really do something about this. We only get the chance to see out boys when they play Daviscup at home and that's some time ago now too. :(
So I hope they get to play Zimbabwe next, so I can finally go and watch them again! :p

Well I know that there small plan's for a menstournament in Belgium. Bob Verbeeck and/or another company was busy the research all the possibilities. I also heard that Filip Dewulf was involved with it.

Our players deserve a home tournament and I also hope to see them again in Belgium playing for the Davis Cup.

Bob Verbeeck mentioned this idea agin this week. He said it wouldn't be held before 2005 (which is kinda logical in my opinion...) and he doesn't have a location yet.

even in Poland we have got some really good tournaments... I have seen Olivier, Christophe and Tom a couple of times in Poland - Sopot (ATP), Szczecin (challenger) and Wroclaw (challenger). I must say that I never considered myself lucky because of that (you know, I thought that nobody comes to Poland), but now I know that I really should be grateful:) I would have never thought that you haven't got any ATP tournaments in Belgium!!!
