I decided that Ivo Minar needs a thread now! He had a good year in 2005, as a qualifier reaching the Final of Sydney, putting on a spirited fight against Hewitt and also he reached the Amersfoort semi finals, losing to Calleri.

I also remember a good match in Dubai against Federer, where Roger won 6-7(5) 6-3 7-6(5)

He won 7-5 7-6(7), didn't face a breakpoint, but converted only one out of 5 or 6.

Another qualifier Alun Jones is waiting for him in the 1st round. Ivo always does well in Sydney so hopefully he will win :yeah:

Ivo has successfully qualified for Monte Carlo :yeah: He beat Benneteau 6-4 6-3 for the first time, and he didn't even take a set off him in their previous 3 meetings :worship:

He can face Haas, Simon, Santoro, Chela, Starace, Nieminen and Ancic in the 1st round. Good luck to him, I hope he doesn't draw Ancic.

EDIT: OMG, he faces Ancic, and then possibly Nadal :shrug:

Ivo lost to Ferrer 3-6 3-6 but at least showed some fighting in the end. He should reach his new career highest ranking next week, something around 63
