Stan could beat a knackered Step. Mirnyi - he has been awesome so far and Kolya is beatable. However, I guess he will fall soon and we will all have backed him! Ferrero is locked 5/5 head to head with El Gato but he won their last meeting at DC in 2003 6/4 6/0 6/0!! In fact he has won his last 4 meetings on clay with Gaston and only lost to him once in that time in Cincinnati, and that was a close match. Gaston has only beaten J-C once on clay at ATP level. Okay they have both gone different ways since then but J-C is finding some good form and consistency and Gaudio has done nothing special on clay since his double-title-whammy in February.

Any thoughts?

2nd play is Gaudio over JCF. Don't be fooled with looking at BETO's ass-whoopin result from yesterday. It's quiet Simple, when JCF had bp opportunities, he took full advantage and converted on 5 out of 8 chances he had against BETO.....BETO also had 7 opportunites and only converted on 1......UR not going to win too many matches if you can't convert those kinda precious opportunities against Former RG champ....k, last 2 weeks....2 clay tourneys that JCF has entered....He got beaten by NADAL and CORIA...and today, he can add 1 more to that list.....NADAL, CORIA, and GAUDIO are top 3 clay courters thus far this yr in my book....

Gaudio is 15-2 winning 2 clay tourneys this yr....That's damn impressive. On the other hand, JCF's clay court lifetime record is 140-36, but last 2 yrs....it's only 14-6....I'll take Gaudio even if he's limping on one leg and is suffring from a high fever....

I can see the Beast taking out Davy, but not sure if I'm going to play or not. He could very well win today, but his great run WILL come to an end soon... he's simply not talented enough to keep it going, and when it does, I don't wanna be involved!
