Should there be a Forum Moderator?

I was reading around here the past few days and there does seem to be a change in the vibe of the place and not for the better.

So the question is. Should we have a forum moderator and if so, then who should it be?

This Forum used to be one of the happiest and most friendly on MTF, but I have also noticed the "vibe" PerezRoldan, and it's definately not for the better. It's a great shame and I wonder why :p If you were to have a Moderator then how about yourself, - or if you don't fancy the job, then I would say FB, GWH or Marc Rosset is Tall? They are all long-standing and loyal Gaston fans who won't stand any trolling rubbish from anyone.l

This forum is fine without a moderator. I don't see any trolls in here and nobody's bad-mouthing Gaston so what's the problem?

Ours used to be-until certain "interlopers" decided to intrude.

I would be happy with any of the above choices as moderators.

Normally I wouldn't agree with the proposal, though in this case it wouldn't be a bad idea and it has worked quite well in the other forums that have one.

As for nomination for this position I think GWH would be good for this role or Marc, at the same time they would have to be interested in the position.

I understand PerezRoldan - I wouldn't want the job either. Also, I notice that a lot of the "problems" seem to occur in the middle of the night for me due to trolls living in different time zones to myself :) Let's see who shows an interest in the job out of those nominated.

Ahem, I am not a fan of trolls. I never liked them when I was a kid fishing, and they scared me from jumping out under the bridge and I am not too keen on them in forums either

So if I was to nominate for someone I would choose GWH or Marc, pending of course that one of them would want the job.

Thanks for the people who would think that I would do a good job, but since I can't nominate myself as my autocratic tendencies are not that high I would nominate GWH for the job.

Yes, why not make a poll for this and from what I can see Perez Roldan doesn't want to do it. Maybe Marc or GWH would be the best candidates.

You're right, people are allowed to post wherever they want. Unfortunately, in your case, posting wherever you want creates a lot of negative vibes. So, that's precisely why your posting over here is posing a problem.

I will make that poll everyone is waiting for, as I wont be able to see this forum go down the drain, and I cant wait to get tangerinus out of here. I suggest George and FB, because they've followed him the longest and know something about him. I would suggest jazz_girl also, but that would be up to her, as she's already a moderator. Yes, anyone knows that is true in a public forum. There are relevant sections for photos and articles within this forum and post them there. What picture thing are you talking about? I didn't see anything that you have posted in that section with your name on it.

Obviously you haven't read any of the threads in great detail on GM that talk about tennis. Yes, that it even means talking to people and about players that he doesn't like. Don't forget you are the one that called him a "nazi" and there isn't anything ironic about that.
