Who met him ???

I'm just curious, I'd like to know if someone of this forum had the great opportunity to meet Pete ? To talk him ???
Personly...never. I just saw him in real 4 times (Bercy 3, RG 1) and I was very happy, so I can imagine that meeting him is still more fantastic !!!

Hello Marine, join the fourm recently and i love all these great stuff about Pete, I think I am his biggest fan in the world, I try to collect everything I can put my hands on about him, my heart is still broken since he retires from tennis. I think he would be a super golfer, what do you guys think? I would to hear about anyone meeting him too.

one of my biggest regrets.... had one opportunity (the year hewitt beat him in the open finals) but could not offered those tickets!! probably just as well --- I would have hated for that one chance to see him to be in that situation where he was losing so badly

i have met him in person once, its 1996, the Marboro Open (exhibition), he was the no.1 by that time, no.2 was Michael Chang :wavey:

he was a little bit cold to his fans ;) and he only signed 2 autographs, but i don't blame him, he is also human beings, he has good and bad days ;)

Roger will not break Pete records, none of them anytime soon, so dont worry yourself blueriver, and as for him been more complete than Pete, it is just nonsense, this is just John McEnroe running his mouth off as asusal, John never have anything good to say about Pete, if somebody else comes along tomorrow and start winning grand slams they will say the same about him been better than Roger Federer, give the guy a couple more years and then we will see if he can better Pete records, it is not always the current star that shines the brightest, somebody might come along next year and then we will be singing a different tune.

what i meant was that Roger seems to have a more complete game than Pete coz Pete's backhand sometimes is not very good :o

Here is Pete reaction about his records being broken, and I quote - These records could be broken but it will be very hard. Not to blow my own horn, but to stay on top year-in, year-out, it kind of has to be your life. Connors had that, Lendl had that, I had that. If someone breaks his recond ine day I prefer that it's Federer, I like him.

Well, I've been trying to get a scan of it, since the mag does'nt an online one. But I scanned a couple of it and got a few more as well. Would get everything done by this weekend and would post it for all of us.

Btw, the couple of pics which I already have are more than 500kb. Anyone knows how to reduce the Kb size of a pic.

Btw, I had old copies of an Indian sports magazine covering Pete's career when he was playing. It was piling up like anything, to my Mother's annoyance - so I had to throw that away.

sorry that this magazine is not available in India but may be next time you can order in internet :confused: , the quality of the paper is very bad, but since it has pete, i have to buy :p

since my house is too small, i have to throw things away from time to time, but of course i will never throw those magazines with pete and monica on cover :worship:
