Who is better?IFoughtThe 04-17-2007, 03:50 PM One for the Brit watchers this. scarecrows 04-17-2007, 03:51 PM I am end of thread adee-gee 04-17-2007, 03:55 PM Buckland is a better presenter, but Bailey knew more about tennis. And I liked his banted with Petchey. Can we please remove Barry Millns and Sam Smith from commentary as well :) Byrd 04-17-2007, 03:59 PM Buckland needs to stop with the puns, I may have to run down to the sky sports studio and wallop him one. scarecrows 04-17-2007, 04:04 PM I am end of thread just to explain there was no poll when I posted this ;) IFoughtThe 04-17-2007, 04:15 PM Buckland is a proper broadcaster, not an ex-player. That came across with his Federer interviewer - text-book. Barry Cowan, however, is an embarassment. jazar 04-17-2007, 04:39 PM buckland knows virtually nothing about tennis and he looks too serious. bailey was more knowledgeable and mroe relaxed Chileno 04-17-2007, 04:43 PM Buckland seems a bit too formal and serious at times, but I didn't like Bailey at first either...so I'll give him some time... IFoughtThe 04-17-2007, 04:54 PM buckland knows virtually nothing about tennis and he looks too serious. bailey was more knowledgeable and mroe relaxed More knowledgable perhaps, but more relaxed?? He had a permanently wooden look on his face. Buckland used to be a top-class tennis correspondent for BBC Radio. That is proper breeding for a broadcaster. Bailey's preparation was to once almost beat Goran Ivanisevic. Cowan nearly beat Sampras. It doesn't make them good broadcasters. Frankly, they weren't even very good players. That's Henry Chinaski 04-17-2007, 05:35 PM what the hell were they thinking hiring Sam Smith? BlakeorHenman 04-17-2007, 05:38 PM Barry Manilow. But seriously, who the fuck are these people? | |
