I don't think Bollettieri is all that brilliant. Sure many of his players have had some very good results. But it's difficult to say whether it's because of the natural talent of the players or Bollettieri's coaching skills.

Bollettieri forehand factory.

No Peter Lundgren who got Rios and Federer in the top 10 and had a huge impact on their games, not like bandwagon Gilbert who comes along for the ride and not do any development stuff before Murray.

Percy Rosberg who discovered Borg and then told Edberg to change his 2 hander to a single hand backhand.

you guys should read Mike Agassi's bio (andre's dad) he blames Bollettieri for turning Andre into a Baseline player, he said Andre was more of a serve and volleyer like Sampras before he went to Bollettieri Academy but that Bollettieri turned his game purely 1 dimensional, he also said that Bollettieri exploited Andre allot that he made Andre feature in his academy's instructional video but never paid him, he would use Andre's wimbledon win to promote the academy but than when Andre wanted to cut lose Nick wanted more money ....I was like wow he really hates the guy

it seems like the more high profile a coach is the more time they spend promoting themselves than time on the courts with their students....

Peter Lundgren also helped Marat Safin to win his second title in a Grand Slam tournament when he beat in the semis Federer after that thrilling match. In my opinion he really is one of the great coaches.

Jimmy Connors helped Roddick improve his volleys. :)
He should be on the list!

If you're judging it by how much Roddick's volleys have improved, he should be top 3 in the worst coaches of all time.

"Only anglos - how unsurprising" was my first thought as well.

Any such list must feature Carlos Rodríguez - unless spending most of a career working with a single player is an impediment.

Tony Pickard should be on the list. He did great work with Edberg.

and Rausa Islanova. She's a legend. :worship: (well she coached more girls than boys :p)

Lundgren should be there tho (and not just because he's been Marat's coach ;) )

Am I the only person who's shocked that they managed to get a photo of Tony Roche without him wearing his optus cap? It can't possibly be the right guy
